All players that call ahead will be checked - Many unknown players have been coming and we do our best to check out everyone - Kevin signed up 5 minutes before the tourny started and slipped through the cracks - Had he called we would have had more time to check all his stats and let him know he was ineligible - It's hard to tell a player he is ineligible if we don't know he is coming, you agree?
Yes, the finals are handicapped - A's to 8 - B's to 7 - C's to 6 - and yes it is hard for a "C" to win but with a 2 game spot from the "A's", a random draw and $20.00 for a shot at $5000.00 why not try
First of all I never won a joss tourney ,it was a predator and it had a total of five players .If you ask me that doesnt even qualify as a tourney,so you should all get your facts right.And the real kicker is that we flipped a coin for the finals.And to scttybee I was an A player in the empire tourney so dont go around running your mouth without the facts.Besides those (facts) most of the players on the list of qualified "(A) "players can give me the 8 and are open players. So im getting screwed and scttybee you got action. And ryan I need too much so im not even going to ask ! F**k IT

I think everyone should worry about Liz Taylor
dont forget about that kid clyde. he should definitely be a favorite.
anyways look at the races c's are only getting 2 games agianst these a's(open) players. handicap is geared more towards the A's but just makes me play harder.
if billy the kid and jarrod (open players) can play in the tourny then kevin should be allowed.
a "A player" to me is Peter Kramer,Paul Rota and liz taylor speed.

I agree. I wouldn't love only getting a game from him but I'm also not loving getting just a game from Jarrod, Billy, or Liz.
Just my opinion but he should be able to play.

Nice to see you guys adding your thoughts - Just as a footnote, the player labels "A" "B" and "C" don't actually mean players rankings, we could have used 1 2 3, it's just a way to separate all players into 3 groups - If I were to group pool players in general I would use 6 levels; Pro, Open, A, B, C and D
Eligibility Rules
In the Rolling Rock tournament there are 2 rules stopping a player from entering 1)being a Pro (top ranked 32 for women, top ranked 90 for men) and 2)winning a Regional Tour event in the last 5 years
Let's look at the issue with Kevin Guimond - As far as skill level goes Kevin should be able to play in this event - There are players playing that are equal if not a little better than Kevin but as the rules are written, winning that small field Predator Pro tournament disqualified him -Kevin was a good sport about the whole situation and on behalf of Snooker's I apologize for the trouble it caused
The Future
This is the first year doing this type of event and hopefully we can continue to do this year after year - The turnout for each qualifier has been very small - Don't know if players have been waiting expecting small fields in the last few qualifiers but right now early is better
