I think a lot of custom cue makers dont offer a lifetime warranty because they dont have to.Their quality and workmanship speaks for itself,no need for a piece of paper to know your buying a great cue.......................PERIOD
Or he can get a cuetec that is 90% wood and will never warp.
OR he can get a Lucasi and if it does ever warp he will only have to spend $10 to get a new one (shipping), not just once but for his lifetime. Lifetime warranty against warping seems significant. Same with cuetec's guarantee against warping due to their outer fiberglass shell
D-RockSo as a cuemaker you can guarentee i never intended to buy a custom cue huh? Why don't you go back through some posts where i was looking for Information on a material i wanted for points? Its ok though, i'm sure you stayed at a holiday in express last night so you must know everything.
on another note. I do take care of my cues, there stored in a hard case right here next to my computer.....or should make a special cabinate thats maintains the perfect temperture and humidity levels and never take it out to play with it????
I'm sorry I pissed off so many people with my thread, I guess my expectations are just too damn high expecting someone to actually stand behind their work.
silly me
Oh, and too the person who compared it to buying a vehicle with a lifetime warranty. A vehicle is made of parts that wear out. And btw, my dodge has a lifetime powertrain warranty on it.

Well of course the maker rushed through making the cue. Everybody knows the buyer never does anything wrong. You know. That customer is always right thing![]()
The down side of warrenties, Is the company still in buisness, Is the cuemaker still alive?
You can't guarantee to be alive in a weeks time let alone 5 years.
But I am sure that if you buy a quality cue, some one somewhere will be able to maintain it or repair whatever is required.

My Dodge also has a lifetime power train warranty. But it has a shorter warranty on other things. Believe it or not cues do get wear similar to a car. If you clean your shaft it is just like a pair of tires. It wears down. Now how about a lifetime warranty on tires. I never heard of that warranty. Most cuemakers give what they call a lifetime warranty on defects in craftsmanship, but until recently almost all excluded warpage from that. And as another poster has already said, I have heard from others that some with a lifetime warranty against warpage would not cover a shaft with minimal warpage. In other words a few thousandths of run out is not considered warped according to the manufacturer. So as a cuemaker you can guarentee i never intended to buy a custom cue huh? I myself do warranty my cues again manufacturing defects for the life of the cue to the Original owner only! It is hard to warranty against warpage for several reasons! A lot of us on here will warranty against warpage for a certain period of time. These production companies can do that because of there cost factors in building these cues. They can replace probably 10-15 cues and still come out ahead money wise because of there original cost to build it the first time. Where here the cost factor is a lot higher! What you do have to remember is, you get what you pay for....
I can see some of your point about production cues and custom cues prices! You would think that a custom cue builder would have a life time warranty because of the price factor. But, it just cant be done for the same reason. And not to mention the time its take to build a cue!
Production companies build in the thousands yearly. Custom builders anywhere from 20 to 100! More or less in some cases!
I hope this helps you understand where I am coming from as far as warranties!!!
Thanks!
Do you guarantee the tires not to wear out?
The transmission for life?
Cues are made of wood. The finish wears out.
so much for the custom cue.....
Where in there did you ask why custom cuemakers ( blanketed ) do not warranty their cues like Lucasi?
wow, somebody actually gave a reason without a bashing attached to it. I'm not trying to bash custom cue makers. I know the work they go through in making a cue and I respect the art they produce. I'm just saying for a guy with a lot of bills to pay it's nice piece of mind to know that warranty is there.
I never came on here to bash cuemakers. Just wanted to know why they won't stand behind there product like other companies. I build custom cars for a living and I guarantee everything I do. If you buy prebuilt speaker box there is no guarantee it won't leak and they can afford to replace about 5 of them for the cost of 1. I guarantee each box I build not to leak, I guarantee each exhaust not to leak, I guarantee all body work, interior, everything that is not an item that wears out.
and a note to blue hog rider....i'm sorry i misspelled "they're". The neighbor over in this here trailer park done likes to mess with my pick up truck and i forgot to hit dat spell check thingy before my post. Won't happen again.
