Cashman - Canadian Roughneck. And proud of it.
What is a "Canadian roughneck"?
JAM: Cherokee. We were here first.

Well, Mark and Greg don't schedule on top of other events, number one, and, number two, they wouldn't reschedule at the last minute on top of another event.
Sometimes money ain't the end-all/be-all when it comes to an American fractured pool industry. Sometimes business entities work together to help support the industry as a whole.
BB, however, came onto the scene like Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, selling their shtick to whoever would listen. The BB admin threw out a couple hamburgers out there to the broke-dog pro players, and the pro players wanted to believe in the BB vision, so much so that they moved their whole life to Vegas on the promise of a weekly BB hamburger. Now they're stuck out there in the 120-degree heat with no burgers, no crumbs, just a purple room for them to dance in.
I only post to mention that canada is the sixth largest oil producing country. Not the second.
You have to include Oil Sands.
Good post. I admire your ability to communicate your thoughts articulately.
If you were to communicate directly with a Bonus Ball player friend, maybe you would come to the same opinion as me.
You don't see very many of the BB players posting on AzBIlliards, do you?
Jam i take this as meaning Brandon, and FYI he was in California this week when the rest of us where here in Vegas discussing things for the press release, so even Brandon wasn't here or knows what is fully going on.
Just posted a release that just came in from BB...

Who is Steve Strain?![]()
I'm bashing BB for one reason and one reason only. They came to the United States and disrespected American promoters who have been promoting pool for years.
That goes for this forum as well. It's been around a long time. The BB minions come on here advertising their product and not one ad banner. It is not right.
It has nothing to do with them being Canadian; it has EVERYTHING to do with their lack of respect and business etiquette.
Again, if they were from the Capathian Mountains, I'd be singing the same song about the Capathian Mountain entity coming to Vegas and setting up shop. So put that in your pipe and smoke on that for a while. Next?
The commentator on all BB matches. Seems like a nice guy but mixes up names.
Carpathians
I'd hope after the hype, there will be more than this recap nonsense coming from the BB brain trust.
I heard through the grapevine they were supposed to be paid in full today, but now that date has been pushed up. Some of the BB players have threatened to walk if they don't get paid in full.
Similar to the IPT? Well, in some ways, it is worse. What is sad about the players this time is that they have actually moved to Vegas for this venture, only to see it crash and burn before it takes off.
I follow NASA pretty regularly. They have subbed out their manned spaceflight missions to commercial entities. Before a launch, everything is gone over to the nth degree. If something looks wrong, they postpone the flight. Quite the opposite has happened with BB. As we can now see, they are making it up as they go along, i.e., rescheduling willy-nilly that hurts American promoters, changing their start dates, and now the players not getting paid.
Remember when the IPT said they would be saved by the gambling magnate Ho? Well, I would venture to guess BB will be coming out with a smoke-and-mirrors similar to this, just to keep those BB players in Vegas.
My homeboys Brandon Shuff and Mike Davis have both moved to Las Vegas. I hope they have enough money to eat and pay their rent wherever they are. Then there are players who moved here from the other side of the pond, like Darren Appleton. They have been singing the praises of BB. Poor Brandon had been stung by the IPT qualifiers as far as his personal investment and now this. Doggone shame! :(
No, I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, actually. My reply was more generic, in that if someone wants to know more, they may find more up-to-date information by speaking to a BB player if they are friends with one.
Personally, I haven't spoken to Brandon in a few months, only when he was in town here.
If you see Brandon, though, wish him a Happy Birthday for me. The kid turned the big three-oh today. :grin-square:
Hey, Lee, I know a few other players besides Brandon. Don't lump us together just because we're from the same neck of the woods. :grin-square::wink::smile:
Maybe quotes like this above will get you in trouble with actually which player you are getting info from, sure would like to know which player is telling you all this. - But i'm sure you won't reveal which player exactly you are talking too.
