Not bad for a guy that got snubbed for the Mosconi Cup this year again after finishing one of the top American point leaders.
A 4th Place finish at the Turning Stone, now in Final 3 at Derby, so far this year.
He only played the 9-ball event also.
Let's see if MW screws him again this year for his buddies:)
He is truly a "Giant Killer"

He played pretty crummy at several events throughout last year.

Sossei over Bergman perhaps, but the rest of the team was better than Sossei.

LOL :) It's not april 1st yet? Schmidt? REALLY??
Crummy at several events? Some of the other guys didn't even play events, guess that better results :)
Maybe you can point out here from the BCA points list of the Best tourneys played, where the rest of the choosen team was better?

He made the team, but didn't make the "starting" team. I wouldn't call that being "snubbed"

Hundreds of good players get cut or sit on the bench in many pro sports every season. Were they all snubbed?

He could have travelled with the team if he wanted, and would have played in case one of the starting team took ill, played so poorly they asked to sit out a match, or even got disqualified. I played on teams in quite a number of national events, and we usually took a sixth player along just in case, and they were pleased to be there just as a sub.

No reason to judge the player or the coach.

if the selection process was merit-based for the last MC team, Jeremy would have played.

Mark had other ideas.

best,

I like Sossei, but, Skill is not the only thing Mosconi cup look for, i find him a bit slow for me to watch! This is me only!

OK, We can agree to disagree. Only one coach picked Schmidt, he would have been a great alt, coach, waterboy ect..

Once again congrats to Jeremy for some great play.
Hopefully he can push a little further..

Sossei

What does he have in the bag at his chair? Does he carry a chunk of chalk instead of baby powder?

Here we go again. How's the view hanging from those nuts?

He's made a good run. He's a good player… he's just not a top 5 players.

Is that a tattoo?

Watching the Giant Killer right now playing Kiamco, (Kiamco up 7-6) noticed a odd looking tattoo on Jeremy's bridge hand. Does any one know what it is? Looks like 3 small tattoos. I've seen him play many time and never noticed it before.

Lol

Not top 5 American but was in the top 5 the last few years huh? Skewed the system must be lol. And no one rejected for a team would travel with the team to be a cheerleader so that's a moot point. And to the guy who said he did crummy, he placed 7th at the U.S. Open and 2nd at turning stone. Even if he didn't cash in another event, that's still better finishes than Bergman, Deuel, Hall and Schmidt had all year playing big table rotation games. Show me a valid reason to say he didn't deserve to be on the team over those guys and I will listen. He's our friend, no one is hanging on anyone's nuts. He got robbed, plain and simple. Not only of the spot but of the money he was guarenteed. People can't just respect a guy who puts his life into something. All these guys that literally can't make a ball come on here and tell everyone how things are in the world of pro pool. It's laughable.

Davis, out.

Phil, I don't care what place he got in this or that, he's not a top 5 or top 10 or even top 20 American player. He's a great player and has done well in tournaments. He should be proud of what he's done and what he's going to do in the future, but IMO he's not a top 20 guy. I can and will name 20 people he's equal or worse than who were born in this country and I'd bet 1000 against him if he played any of them race to 20. That doesn't make him a bad player… that makes him a great player, but there are a lot of people his speed or better that would give that team a better chance.

Dechaine got runner up in 1pocket tournament, does that make him the 2nd best one pocket player? Of course not. Guy can run the F out and moves ok. Doesn't mean anything. The guy who got 30th is gonna beat him.

How well would you say Chris Broussard plays basketball? Or How well would you say Peter Gammons plays baseball? What about John Clayton plays football? All of these people are considered experts in these sports yet none of them can play these sports.

Yet because I "can't make a ball" and my opinion isn't valid. I made a couple balls when I busted you...

I'm not even close to putting him top 5 but I think you have "clearly " bumped your head on top 20 ,, let's hear them inquirery minds want to know ,

In no order, everyone I think is equal or better than Jeremy. There could be more, just off the top of my head:

Shane
Mike Dechaine
Johnny Archer
Rodney Morris
Corey Deuel
Dennis Hatch
Earl Strickland
Oscar Domingez
Brandon Shuff
John Hennessee
Justin Bergman
Justin Hall
Joey Gray
Chip Compton
Keith Bennet
Chris Bartram
Stevie Moore
Mike Davis
Rob Saez
Mike Davis
Larry Nevel
Shawn Wilkie
Max Eberly
Scott Frost
Shawn Putnam
Charlie Bryant
Tony Watson

I'd gladly bet on any of these people playing Jeremy in a long race. Jeremy can beat any of them but I'd feel like I can win betting on anyone them. This isn't an insult… I'd feel pretty great about my game if I were even compared to these people.

Thank you

Jeremy pronounces his name saucy or saw-see (not so-see or sew-see).

Thank you for that, hope all the streamers read this because I've seen many of his matches and I'm not sure I've heard his name pronounced the same way twice!:yikes:
