I've been out of the cue market for quite some time now and I was wondering what kind of a price someone would expect to play for a brand new satin finish South West cue? My guess is somewhere between $1000-$1300. Am I in the ball park? Thanks

I guess you are dreaming, snoring, and will wake up soon. I just received two that I waited for almost 10 years. I will buy everyone you can gather for your prices-pm me if you ever find them-you won't-LOL.

I think $1100 and $1500 is a good price for the Satin Finish cues. I mean they do not exactly meet the standards of a Southwest cue, and that is why they are discounted in the first place.

Good Luck with your sale.

you invented the ball park while you were sleeping, at least double that and then theres the waiting list, most i see to be had right now go for 2500-4000

I like your pricing.........

I have a purpleheart no point Jerry Franklin cue with 2 shafts from the mid 80's in perfect refinished condition from SW with the auth letter I will sell for 3K.

Line em up for me.

thx,
D

you should be in the ballpark. Lot of fancier southwests go for about 1800-2500, Satins were selling for about 1100-1250 last I paid much attention to them (2 years ago).

hell there i go leaving out key parts to read, I saw southwest and didn't even look at the "satin" part....

The grey ghost must retract as my quotes on prices are for the higher end cues.

oops,
Grey Ghost

You're in the correct price range for the satin finish SW also known as the "Pacifier" cues. The pins are not engraved but they sometimes put the number on small piece of paper and insert it under the bumper/butt plug. The last two I bought from Laurie's shop were numbered using the paper in the butt method. One was orange osage and the other was birdseye.

Here are some satin finish SW with the engraved pin. Think they were the first ones done...Hard to fine and worth more $$$$$$$$$

I sold a brand new maple one for $1250 a year ago.... I wonder where all the "megabuyers" were then?

I remember that cue, you brought it into my shop and opened it up to show me. Tell everyone what it cost you.

Take care

That's right.... it was that cue.

Don't know the relevancy, but if it's a big deal (to you or others?) it cost me $1200...... why?

Thanks Ross, I was just trying to prove a point about the price some of these people were way off mark.

Take care

Oh....... LOL. I was racking my brain trying to figure out if I got a steal on that one or something - had to go back and check old emails.. Gotcha. ;)

Hope all is well, will stop by next time I'm in your area....

I won one in a raffle here and sold it for 1100 with less than one hour of play on the cue with a different shaft so the butt had one hour of play and shaft was unchalked.
