So this is this the current, updated list? Was thinking of driving in to watch some of the matches. So the first round of the Bigfoot will start Friday evening 6/21? Thanks.

Still a pretty darn strong field.

Names that I don't see.....that jump out to me are:

Earl Strickland
Shannon Daulton
Darren Appleton
Larry Nevel
Efren Reyes
Thorsten Hohmann
Chris Bartrum
CJ Wiley
Jeremy Jones
Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant
Nick van den Berg

I'm sure I'm forgetting 100 more. Any updates on field additions or subtractions?

P.S. I would say Landon Shuffett, but I'm pretty certain he's focusing on going to college right now.

Possible additions include Donny Mills, Keith Bennett and John Schmidt. None are confirmed at this time.

I got the green light to come play today, so confirm me if you will

Jay, I got the green light to come play today, so confirm me if you will and I'll send you the money tomorrow if that's ok.

We finally got the T.I.P.S. Banking Secrets done and the cover was designed today so that is off my "plate" and I'll be coming to Tunica for the duration this time. For the first time in my life I'm going to play a "Bank and One Pocket Tournament".......I've played those games a lot, but I think I just played one/one pocket tournament and got 5th way back at my old pool room. Matlock won that tournament, I can't remember who I even played it's been so long ago (94?).

I'll send you a PM as well, Jay, thanks for the invite and let me know I'm confirmed asap please........Aloha, CJ

CJ, this is good news... good luck... this post might be the reason I decide to take the trip south...

Now we got action.

I've heard rumors that CJ has been working on a mullet with TOG (Touch of Gel) for about 2 months now.

Can anyone confirm?

Doubtful that any of the above will play, except CJ. A few are not coming, several are committed to BB and Efren just doesn't want to play any more than the three Southern Classic events. Yes, Efren will be there!

i think that $100 is kinda steep, not sure, i will check and see what alternatives are there for you.

just like most regions prices seem to go up when people come to town.

case in point, i was working downtown for 2 weeks. parking spots were 10.00 a day.during the bar b cue cook off which is held during memphis in may festivities those same parking spots went up to 40.00 a day. talk about vendor gouging !

One would think the casino had their own shuttle back and forth to the airport. Even if they don't have their own I'll bet they can tell you a cheaper way to come from airport to their casino. The casino wants those $100 bills spent at the casino, not someone else getting them. Johnnyt

I look forward to getting the opportunity to play a lot of pool in the next couple of weeks. Switching gears from the "teaching mode" to the "playing mode" will be what I have to focus on, and I do like a challenge.

The way Pro Pool is changing and developing is appealing to me right now. Just like creating any new life whether it's a plant, animal, human or business - there's ALWAYS labor pains. That's what I'm seeing now in the pool world - some may see these things as negative, however I see them as extremely positive and vibrant for the future of pool and the professional players.

I'm putting my time, money and experience into what I just said by supporting ALL the upcoming tournaments, I hope to see everyone there and if you're on this forum please say "hello," I, unfortunately don't know many on you be your "real" name, and I certainly want to.

I will be there with Mary Avina, who is a great Ambassador to Pool and feel free to say "hello" to her as well, SHE LOVES POOL and {almost} everyone that plays ;) (I'm not sure we "should" like "all" pool players LoL)

I'm handling the ultimate 10ball transport right now for the staff and players. After Greg called me earlier about this thread and related posts I asked around locally with the drivers I encountered, and the hotel staff to see what answers I could dig up. It's not a common enough run for majority of the year for there to be any special rates available.
I just asked the convention coordinator @ harrahs, and she confirmed the hotel does not offer a shuttle to or from the airport, and that its pretty common for it to be 100.00 cab ride

If I were driving my CrewCab Chevy down like I did last year, I could haul about 4 pro's with me, as I go right thru Memphis, but.....I'm riding down with a friend this time around.

I'll keep this in mind for next year, tho. I'd try to help out if I could. Best I can do is give a friendly thread bump this time around.

Bump.

If you're flying in call this guy. Enzo (313)268-4203
He charges about $30-40 a head depending on how many ride.

Jay -- Can you give us an update on the Bigfoot event? A picture of the flow chart? I watched a couple of the matches today, but the commentators gave no information on other matches (except one going on at the next table) or future matches.

When will Accu-Stats be streaming the semi's and finals? I think you said Monday in another thread, but I I think Accu-Stats said Tuesday or Wednesday on one of their streams.

Thanks for any information you have time to provide.

Yeah an update would be good. Final entry list, who's still in who's out etc. Also I had a question about the rules being used. I am curious as to why they are not playing call pocket. To me 10 ball is a call pocket game so to see slop count is a tad unusual. Not that it diminishes a great event I was just curious. Thanks.
