Spat between Accu-Stats and InsidePoolMag at DCC

Its a real easy fix.
Have one company stream it all, instead of 3. Buy more cameras, set them up in 3/5 locations. Problem solved.

But knockin over someones high dollar HD cams, that calls for a serious head thumpin

That is certainly a viable solution. It would be best for the game if IP or someone like them would stream everything because they get such a large exposure being that the stream is free and they have people active in promoting the stream.

Pat was way out of line. No excuse for a grown man to act that way. I may not purchase any more accu stat streams or dvd's over this. Classless

I think I get it now. So they were not supposed to be streaming the tournament games.

That makes sense. Because if the choice is to watch tournament action for free if say two marquee players are on an adjacent table or pay to watch whatever is on Accustats then a lot of folks will choose the free one.

I think Pat is right in that case.

Although kudos to InsidePool for taking initiative to try and keep pool on stream any way possible.

I vote that they do the action room ONLY from now one. Just be really "inside" pool.

According to Alvin they absolutely had permission to film the matches they did film. They did not film the accu-stat matches

The actual agreement or whatever doesn't matter. You don't touch someone else's expensive equipment without asking, whether you're in the right or not.

It sounds like it no attempt was made to damage anything. Still, you either keep talking with the equipment owner until an agreement is reached. If you can't reach an agreement, and you truly feel they're out of line... you contact the people who control the venue and attempt to have them removed.

By messing with the equipment, you open yourself up to a lawsuit and make yourself look like an ass to boot.

I'm still going to buy accustats. Pat has done far far far more good for pool than he has harm, we all have days where we make bad decisions or get pissed.

I had no problem paying for accu-stats just so I didn't have to hear Alvin say LIVE 50,000 times. Even though I really wanted to watch the 10 ball.

If I remember correctly, Alvin was in trouble with Pat earlier and was told not to stream matches in the main room. I was surprised when they started streaming them again. If that is the case Inside Pool was definitely at fault. I only paid for one day of streaming, the rest I watched IP. I thought the stream was good overall

Sounds like no harm, no foul. I think we are blowing this way out of proportion.

1. The cameras were simply pointed in another direction... not "thrown across the room till they broke in 39 pieces"

2. Seems there was confusion, and possibly still is, over what the streamers can show.

3. If Pat does indeed have the rights to all the main DCC matches (seems that way), then it does hurt him for the streamers to show even a distant match on the floor. This is not about the fans wanting to see as much pool as we can for free. This is about Pat's business, and agreements he has in place with the DCC.

Always sad when there is less pool to watch, thought after all these years
they'd all have it worked out.
Kinda makes some people look like nits.
Not taking a side just saying, pool needs more fans not less.

This is why I only pay half days when I'm available to watch.

I paid $80 to watch accu-stats all week, work 3 of the days, so I'm just throwing them extra cash, which in hindsight I wish I did not, after all this bickering, and will not again.

They should not get mad if the other crews are showing a very distant view of the floor and not the stream table. I mean I paid to watch streams, and I have gotten more replays to watch then anything, very disappointed in that. If they want to charge this high, then at least have a few more cameras set up, so when the Accu Stats arena table is not running we can see some other matches, even if at a distant view.

^^this^^

The laugh is a bit annoying also. Seems like a decent guy though. The laugh and LIVE HAVE to go.

That being said, the BS with accustats is so dumb. I also was very disappointed by the horrible scheduling/rescheduling of the 10ball matches, specifically on the stream table or which free stream they were originally scheduled. I had a few dolla dolla bills on it and I would have liked to see my horse hit more than the 2 shots I got to see. Inside pool and big truck did a good job but many times they were told one thing and then switched last minute to something completely different. I don't blame Ray it JR on this but a little communication from the tournament director would have been nice I'm sure.

I can't imagine that accu-stats hit any sales records this week. They were competing against two other free streamers who were showing just as good content and more pool than accu-stats. As a consumer I decided to go with the free streams instead of paying to watch several nights of accu-stats.

The first night I paid for and watched the accu-stats stream I had to wait until 7pm to see a match (evening session - I work during the day) which lasted an hour and then I had to wait two hours until 10pm to see a second match which I didn't bother staying up for. I definitely felt like I didn't get my moneys worth and decided to watch the other streams, which were running non-stop and didn't cost a dime.

Tonight I am debating whether or not I should get accu-stats for the same reason even if they don't have competition. I don't want a 2 hour plus intermission between my viewing. Show another match or a replay. Don't make me go away and have to come back later. I might find something free to watch.

I would actually be upset if IP sold DVD's and I didn't get to see any of the DCC and bought them and all I heard was his horrible commentating.

Is this true?

Did Pat pull a Rambo knife and then a gun with a silencer. This had not better be true, or Pat will surely go to jail.

If Pat pulled a Knife or Gun then the Police need to be notified, and a formal investigation needs to be performed.

I am going to contact Caesars Horseshoe Casino on this issue.

In regards to the streaming.

We need to find out whether Inside Pool had the right to free Streaming?
Who controls the use of Streaming is it the Horseshoe Casino or Sullivan of Diamond Billiards.

Call the Indiana DCI (Department of Casino Investigation) too. Tell them that someone on an internet forum, who is not present at the event, alerted you that there are knife & gun play in the casino. They'll jump right on it & bust those mf'ers before things really get out of hand!

You might as well tell them that I heard that Whitey Bugsworth is planning to rush the casino cage with a slingshot & a grenade. Don't worry, the grenade is a dud. Tell them to look out for the guy wearing the panda mask.

Gullible.....

Incident reported to Hrseshoe Casino

If you make a accusation on the Internet and it is not true, that is not good.
They need to b be checked out.

All I know is that Alvin at Inside Pool has been furious with Pat Fleming the last two days.

I have been watching Inside Pools free streaming and Alvin has been hot.

I'm sure Accu-Stats makes most of their money from selling the DVD's. PPV and the stream for the fans come in a far 2nd. Pat and his company has done a lot of good for pool over the years for sure, but in no way should he have a lock on any tournaments unless he pays for it and it can be bid on by other streamers if they wish to. Johnnyt

I agree. But what I would like to know is did Pat really brandish a knife and a gun with a silencer? Could anyone who knows Pat speak on whether or not he is known to own and carry such instruments? This to me seems to be the most important thing as who can or cannot stream specific events will be sorted out by the proper parties on a case by case basis. The fact that IP was not able to continue the 10 ball streaming they have been doing a nice job of after this altercation shows that who can or can't stream can be enforced and regulated. The issue of weapons being waved around seems far more important or am I missing something here? I have enjoyed much coverage from both Accu Stats and IP. Can't we all co-exist without all the drama?

The gun did not have a silencer.
