Charles Darling invited me up to a trick shot event this weekend in Chicago. I was just wondering if anyone would like to sponsor me, or even split the total cost of the trip with me?

I am exercising everyday I am eating 3 lbs of fruit in the morning, and one meal at night. I am losing weight everyday, but mostly I am centered for the first time in my life. I would also love to talk to anyone that wants to sponsor me this season in pool, or tricks, or in both. I plan to play as many of both types of events as I can.

I also plan to get back in the pit's this year. If any of you want to talk about that? LETS PLAY SOME POOL!

Jeez Jamison, you're going to be squirting like a monkey.

Now theres a trick shot. No need to use a masse cue. Just pull your pants down and blast the balls in.

No longer Mr. Masse. Mr. Messy.

Well I was reading a paper published by a young doctor, and in it she said a few things I had not ever heard about diet, and fruit. She claimed that you can digest more of the fruit if you grind it up. She claims that fruit can help you to avoid many of life's bad diseases like heart attacks early on...etc.

So, I read up on different fruits that I liked to see what they do for the body. Now I use mostly blueberry and strawberry then apples pears I just started to add honey from local farmers because of some other stuff I was reading as well, about us all needing local pollen for our immune systems.

I started to add cherries a couple days ago because I read that they can really help your joints. The blueberry's, and strawberry's are for your heart. I add a few small carrots to the mix for my eyes too. Not enough to taste but...At first it did a number on my system, but after the first week I never felt better than I do now, and frankly I have never been more unhealthy as far as weight..That is why I am exercising, and changing my diet. I started to get up there, and I did not like it. I was 245, and today I am 215 that is two months. Almost entirely diet changes to lose the weight when I stopped losing it from diet I started to exercise. If I had 0 fat I would weigh about 185. That is my goal for this time next year I want to be 185-200 again.

My mix is 15 good sized strawberry two banana a brown pear no seeds...I throw in about 5 of each black and raspberries. Blueberry I use 25-50 I really like those. I use plain kefir to thin it up some. Then I just add whatever other fruit, like a few grapes or a few plums or a few pineapple chunks some kiwi something for some different flavor. Any way you slice it I know I can see better.. I just feel better...Can't explain it...It is helping my focus my attitude in general...Crazy changes I would have never predicted just from changing diet habits.

It is helping my game as well...I think mostly that my drive is returning...Who knows. Something just awoke inside my cue I know that I am going to credit diet and lifestyle which before when I was #1 I was a party animal I ate bar room food I took nothing seriously I was, "The biggest waste of talent in the game of pool." John Barton

I am serious now I want to win every event for the next 60 years but I am finale level headed to know that will not happen...I am 32, and I feel like I am awake for the first time in my life.

While I'm not in the financial position to sponsor anyone, I did want to thank you for sharing your experience with your new diet. I am always in a rush and skipping breakfast and then just grabbing fast food for lunch... and in the last few years it's been starting to show. I already went to the supermarket this afternoon and bought a bunch of fruit and berries. Regardless of the weight loss, I'm looking forward to the increased energy and upbeat attitude you've managed to obtain. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

I was just teasin with ya Jamison. Honestly, I need something like that.
At 53, I can use all the help I can get also.
If its working for you, well then, good for you.

I genuinely laughed at your joke too. Today I just did apple, banana, and strawberry. I actually laughed the second time I read it too...

This weekend is tight but in the future if you have the time to plan you should call all the pool rooms along the way and offer to do exhibitions or clinics and charge enough to get you down the road and not put them off. That way you gater a fan base that wants to see you come again and you can steadily raise your rates.

When Scott Lee is going to be in an area he announces it here and uses that to book some lessons. You could do the same and I am sure you would get some business.

Terrible Diet!

I hate to interject here and talk about non pool related top but I really feel like I need to.

This so called "Diet" you are on is absolutely unhealthy and I really hope you dont continue to eat like this. Are you losing weight? Of course you are, you are starving yourself. The "High" energy levels are coming from all of the sucrose (sugar) that the fruit contains. When you finally eat dinner you are spiking your blood sugar levels and that is not good at all!

4 years ago I weighed in at 255lbs at 5'11" and I felt terrible. By eating smaller meals 5-6 times a day at 40% Carbs, 40% Protein, and 20% Fat I now weight 170lbs. I have weighed the same weight for 2 years and Ill tell you, you cannot keep the weight off by doing these weird Diets!

Sorry for the rant but if you want to do it the right way PLEASE dont eat 3lbs of fruit and 1 other meal a day.

If anyone on the forums ever wants some advice or guidance please feel free to PM or email me.

Are you diabetic? I just wonder because your describing a diet that is used to try and get someones diabetic or hypoglycemic problems under control.

I didnt describe any kind of diet, all I described where the percentages of fats, carbs, and protein your body should have on a daily basis. And no I am not diabetic and never was.

My point is that what you are describing is a crash diet. You cant eat like that forever which is why I HATE diets. You need to have something that is attainable for the rest of your life. Its not a "Diet" its a New Life Style.

Like I said, if anyone wants some coaching or guidance just shoot me a PM. I have done years of research and this journey has seriously made me consider becoming a Dietician or Nutritionist.

thats good

Thats very good sounds like
you'r 0n the right track my hight is 5.8 and I jumped up to 240 I believe in just eating very light no late night snacks do your last meal about 5pm.
I think you can eat most of what you want just do it with some moderation. And the best trick I have learned is when to do the tread mill.
I try each morning to walk one mile before I eat anything. I droped 35lbs
in about three months. Walk before you eat anything is to burn stored up calories. When you get down to the 200 mark your body gets wise to whats going on and will apply the brakes. You want to lose weight but your body does not. After you lose about 15 more lbs you will see what I am saying. This is pool related I think a healthy body plays better pool.
Good luck with your goals. Take care, john

Jamison I am not directing this just at you but to everyone who has asked for sponsorship.....

I am sure that there may be plenty of folks on here between you and the tournament... I also bet that some of these folks would love a lesson or 2 from you in exchange for helping out with you making the tournament.....

I'd try doing lesson vouchers in different denominations and see if you might not be able to fund your trips....

While I have never tried the artistic shots in my life I wouldn't mind paying a few sheckles to a proven professional to show me a handful I can make and a handful I have nooooo shot at.... LOL

One huge thing to do to lose weight is simply cutting out soft drinks. Totally cutting them out. They have so MUCH sugar in them that it's truly unreal. Cut out soft drinks and walk. Those two things will help to drop ten pounds in a month or two.

I was doing great until we got the car. Then I got lazy again and stopped walking, then came the cokes, and I gained it all back.

Got to get back on the horse because I hate to see pictures of myself where I am fat.

Anytime, I am headed to Derby City Classic, if anyone wanted lessons while I am down there, or on the way down there just let me know we can set up dates times and rates...I charge 25 dollars a hour locally? I am not sure how much I should charge out on the road? Hit me up before Derby City and we can work it out. I am very easy to get along with...
