Well I just got back from the poolhall after playing several sports of One Pocket. I was so preoccupied with thinking about this thread I lost almost every sport. Maybe if I drive out to the local Harley dealership and look at some new Gamesters, it'll take my mind off things.

SO everyone that plays baseball, football and hockey as a hobby, it is therefore just a game and not a sport?? Really?? I've been playing baseball for 40 years and play on an over 45 league, so I'll have to let my teammates know that no longer a sport because they don't do it professionally, even though we actaully play harder (not better) than 80% of the pros on the planet !!!!

Nope, I'm talkin' about pool, only....

That would say then, that the Field games of Track and Field are games. e.g.; High jumping, pole vault, discus, shot put, etc.

And if simultaneous interaction is required to be a sport where does that put timed events such as the downhill?

Bottom line is this: Anything you get better at as you consume alcohol is NOT a sport. This, of course, eliminates bowling. :grin-square:

Got a moment,sport?

A hunter (with a very low IQ) was out in the woods.
A woman stepped out from behind a tree and said "I'm game!"
So he shot her.
Therefore, since pool involves shooting,it must be a game.

But i don't care if you call it a gzornx......
I'm going to buy another cue.

Y'all are making us chess players cry. Outside of america, chess is pretty big, much like soccer/football.

I consider it a sport when played at a serious level.

Ever play a serious game of chess for a friendly wager?
Let me know how you feel after it is over.
