You had me going there for a minute. "Samuel Clemens" was fond of saying that the reports of his death were greatly exaggerated. But not since 1910!! (-:
Just as a generalization, however, a LOT of shots we have all seen made, were exectuted on pool hall tables where, due to wear, the CBs have become much lighter than new.
At JOBs here in Nashville, I routinely draw 50% longer than on my home table with fairly new 860 and a Super Pro CB that has mabye 1/1000th the number of shots made with it than the average CB at a popular hall.
Due to time constraints, I probably play 90% of the time on my home table and I can't tell you how many matches I've lost to lesser players because of over cranking draw shots.
OBVIOUSLY, I need to play out more often and/or learn how to adjust faster than I seem to...but when the chips are down, we tend to default to our "normal feel" so I get 3 diamonds of draw instead of the 1.5 that I intended.
I suppose I should just buy an old CB off of JOB and practice with it.

He seems to dropped off the map of European pool around 99 or so. Good player, and a very cool guy. I seem to remember him either winning, taking second or third in a very big international event. I was not able to find it on Google.

The draw is what gives the CB the initial direction angle after contact while the side english is what determines the exit angle from the rail. CB travel distance depends on shot strength. Follow through and let that cue slip a bit.FastMikie said:AWESOME strokes!
