Looks like a Meucci. At one time almost every player of note worked for Meucci and many had lines of cues at one time or another. I don't think the name on the cue means it was made for or belonged to Mr. Robert's.

O.K. Thanks for your help and the link, its a very nice cue I would just like to know more about the history, Thanks again

Sorry I cant help you with ID or history, but I really like the cue. Looks like a "Moochie" to me.

Louie, was a representative for Meucci from the 1970's far word. Meucci use to give Louie cues all the time to play with, but most did not have his name on them like that cue. I think you have a very nice collectible there, that may be a little valuable to the right person.

If I were you I would keep it, and never sell it a cue like that would mean a great deal to me personally.

Take care, thanks for sharing.

louie was a close friend to bob meucci bob and he and i discussed this at the us open i believe its a cue bob made for louie he had mentioned that there was several cues he made for louie over the years they were friends bob could clear that up with an email and quick phone call email to
sales @meuccicues.com and attention barbra you can have that cleared up with one call hope this helps

Meucci built a line of cues with Louie's name on them. Meucci also built a Hubbart, Rempe and David Howard lines as well as others. It is a fairly rare cue, but is still not worth a fortune.

Thanks to everyone for their help and info, I will be contacting these people to find out more on this cue, the other louie cues i have seen didn't have the splices and color this one has so I was hoping it was a cue specially made for louie with a meaning, when I find out more I will repost to let everyone know, Thanks....

Take it to the hall, set a ball on the long rail one diamond below the side pocket & 1/2" off the rail. Place the cueball on the foot spot. Now try to walk that ball straight sideways down the rail into the far corner pocket. If it goes every time I'd say you have Louie's cue

Colonel<----- had Louie hit that shot against him for the cash more times than I can count
