Well I could teach you how to light a fire and smoke a brisket in no more than three mins flat. Three ingredients tops. Wouldn't cost you a penny, however there's guys down here in TX that will charge you thousands of dollars for week long courses that involve a curriculum and books on how to smoke meat, I think that's flat out absurd LOL. Doesn't make it less valuable. Some people can just explain things better IMHO and they deserve to be compensated for it. Just my .02

Hopefully one of these days one of those people will learn CTE and start teaching it.

I for one would love to learn it and have no problem covering the required compensation.

Love is good. That combined with a strong desire, a consistent amount of time blocked out every day on the table (which you have-the table), an open mind and focus to make the changes, mixed in with patience and you'll be a new man.

(get some Blues CDs playing while learning, it really helps. I ain't kiddin') :thumbup:
 
So much group think. Some things never change ;)

It sounds like Stan is in the final stages of refining and prepping before going to the printers. This can be tedious and time consuming, I’m sure. Once the book is off to print, that is when Stan can focus on the truth series videos.

BTW the book isn’t just an instruction manual on aiming. It is a very detailed system on playing pool with CTE at the core.

I hope that covers the OP question.

I think if Tor Lowry would have embraced CTE and explained it there wouldn't be any haters by now.

There are a lot of pool players who don't have a clue who Tor Lowry is for starters.

Secondly, he's not the God of pool instruction with the final word. Don't get me wrong, he's a great instructor but Tor Lowry only has to focus on what Tor Lowry does and teaches.

The ones who have been the most vocal against CTE are the same ones who started this mess 20 years ago. They did it then, every single year in between, and are still doing it now. They won't change their minds for anyone because it would be an admission they were wrong. Ain't gonna happen.

If Jesus Christ reappeared and gave his blessing they wouldn't care, let alone Tor Lowry. They also don't believe in Christ or any religion so it wouldn't have any impact either.

More and more pro players are getting involved with the system. I know this for a fact. When the book and Truth series come out it will be the final word.

Doesn't mean they'll shut up. Look at Hillary Clinton. She lost, didn't shut up and will never shut up. Still whining and crying about the same crap. Same thing here.

I have never seen Tor present something that wasn't understandable. He's the best at teaching via video I have ever seen by far. Teach him the system and he will likely be able to teach it to the world. Hell he might even steal it and say it was his child. Ask Hippy Jimmy about that.

I have a few DVDs of Tor Lowry and they're well done with very good information.
Some would probably say the same about Bert Kinister who is excellent. But I've heard plenty of negativity about his teaching style and banter during the instruction. This wealth of information given for next to nothing gets overshadowed by nitpicking
personal jabs. It's like pool players can never be happy regardless of what's in front of them.

Stan figured out all of the intricacies of Hal Houle's original CTE because Hal's health was already declining rapidly and couldn't give insight and assistance. It was an incredible undertaking to get it right.

If you think Tor is the greatest instructor out there maybe your best bet is to stick with him on everything.

Stan and CTE is probably not for you. Based on your last few posts including this one there is a negative aspect in one form or another even though you say you're interested in learning it when the book and Truth Series videos come out.

Stan teaches a good number of pro players and a very high number of better amateurs. I'm thinking you should save your time and money and stay with someone you can relate to, especially if he has background music that's more appealing or none at all.

How do you think you'd take it and hold up if the design or build of your cues along with you personally got hammered and ripped to shreds every single friggin' day for over a decade on an internet pool forum? Think about it.

I didn't say Tor had the best information I said he was the best at presenting information. Big difference.

I've bought 2 dvd's and tried hard to understand what they're all about so excuse me if I'm a little bit reserved.

Stan has been his own worst enemy. There have been many aiming systems discussed on AZ and none have drawn the reaction that CTE has. Stan bears a great deal of the responsibility for this. Example: Stan makes instructional videos on the A,B,C's of using CTE, but he also makes other videos purporting to prove one or more claims he has made when promoting his product. "100% objective, throw doesn't matter, mystery that wasn't supposed to be" are a few examples. The problem is that Stan is not a scientist or engineer trained in designing experiments, which is what those particular videos really are, so very often the video actually proves the opposite of what he is trying to demonstrate. When things like that are pointed out to him, the insults and general craziiness start.

Again, for the 1000th time, I'm not criticizing CTE Pro1. I am saying that the claims made about the product are not supportable and should not be used to promote it.

WHOA-WHOA- WHOA there Dan White.

The worst enemies of CTE are YOU, PJ, LOU, and other hangers-on who bought into your negative drivel since the beginning of time and it didn't start with Stan.

It all started with HAL HOULE on RSB and flowed over to the users of CTE on that forum with the bashing primarily by PJ and LOU.

When AZB was created, not much happened for the first few years until Fast Larry destroyed RSB and everyone started flowing over to the new forum. AZ took off and RSB died.

It didn't end the bashing because the CTE users, Hal (for a very short time because of illness), and the original KNOCKERS still battled it out here.

Stan didn't start getting intrigued with CTE until a few years down the road. When Stan began talking with Hal over the phone and trying it out on the table for himself, he was captivated like all of us about how it could work the way it does without using all of the other contact points and alignments.

Stan, as a certified BCA instructor for many years and excellent player, wanted to delve further into the "why's and how's" of the system and just took the ball and ran with it.

And YOU are going to criticize him for doing THAT? It was as much a learning experience for HIM as it was for all pool players because he went far beyond the way Hal did it. Hal tried to keep it as simple as possible while at the same time NOT revealing all the intricacies and secrets that made the system tick. He didn't even tell Stan and when he knew Stan was the real deal with CTE he couldn't because of the Alzheimer's taking over badly.

What you're saying is a 100% LIE and the INSTRUCTION GIVEN IS SUPPORTABLE BY THE FACT IT FLAT OUT WORKS TO POCKET BALLS IF THE STEPS ARE LEARNED AND DONE PROPERLY AS TAUGHT.

What makes you think PRO PLAYERS (more than you realize or could conceive) would possibly use something to make their games WORSE instead of BETTER since MONEY is on the line in every tournament they play as well as side betting action?

This isn't the first salvo fired at CTE or Hal Houle because those started in 1998. This one is JUNE of 1999. NICE, HUH? FUNNY, HUH? AND HERE WE ARE 20 YEARS LATER WITH THE SAME CRAP FROM GROWN MEN ACTING LIKE CHILDREN AND IT NEVER STOPS!!!
