Hoo-boy, now I'm being compared to John Schmidt, but yet "I'm nowhere near that important to nobbie."

This is really getting entertaining.

-Sean <-- man, I guess he told me, didn't he?

Glad you're enjoying yourself Sean. Like everyone in your world, I'm here to entertain and bow down to you.

Now go ahead and get in the last word, you always do. Predictable. You can even include one of those stupid comments at the bottom in quotes and believe yourself to be witty.

Are we still talking about aiming? I know we can't have a thread talking about aiming on the Main Forum, but can we have a thread talking about talking about aiming?

I for one, think the mods should make a new sub-forum. This forum would be the new landing place for any discussion related to the discussion of the merits of allowing conversation about aiming in the Main Forum. This would become our very own Almost talking about but not quite talking about Aiming - purgatory. Here is where any hint of a possible discussion of, or related to, the possibility of a discussion of Aiming on the Main Forum would be sent not to die or to live per se, but just be.

All in favor say aye.

NO, Just keep this cr*p in the aiming forum, that will do.

Now this is funny! I mean truly funny! :D :thumbup2:

-Sean <-- irony, and "mirror mirror, on the wall" and all that...

There is only one place you can stand to perceive both lines at the SAME time. See if this video helps to explain it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAKAP8iR3Lw

Thanks for the video link. It helps explain Stan's and CTE Pro One method and perception process. Good to watch to get a better understanding of Stan's methods and a further explanation. Really listen and pay attention to what he says.

Perception. Interesting word.

MY 2 cents, Maybe there should be a 'Aiming System' section in the forums.

The ONLY reason I feel this way is, 'Aiming at the OB is the MOST important element of the 'shot making' process!' IMO.

What crap?

The talk about aiming or the talk about whether or not others should or shouldn't talk about aiming?

See, we need two forums.

I guess CRAP is a forum. [C]onsternation [R]egarding [A]iming [P]erspectives.

I agree, talk about talk about aiming (TATAA) needs to live on its own, away from here.

Wow, this thread took a quick downward turn!

What would you expect? Sean derailed the thread because HE believes it should be in another forum. Now don't ever consider derailing one of his threads.

Lou has sliced and diced Stan's spokes model. thou not a real brand ambassador John tried his best. At this point Stan's brand has taken a severe hit. Is there an aiming system that works for all people ?

Any aiming system will work on a player so long as he is a natural and has perfect fundamentals:rolleyes:. But seriously that game was in no way harmed CTE. It wasn't a fair fight to begin with. Mr. Figueroas side had everything to lose and nothing to gain (other than 10k:D) from this matchup. If Mr. Barton had won with his wonky fundamentals, then that would have been the "final proof" that CTE works for anyone and the forums would have changed forever. I don't say this lightly, as I am not really firmly planted in either camp and actually like Mr. Barton, but had he won it would probably have been the death blow to Azbilliards as we know it. And no, I don't mean that he would ruin it, but it would be an avalanche of fanboys which would slowly tear it apart. If you have been here long enough you will know what I mean by that.

When Mr. Barton had lost, nothing was proven. There is a guy in my country that moves just as much as Mr. Barton on every shot, yet plays on a higher level, so it is possible to do that. But it is hard to judge an aiming system when someone steers, jumps up etc, no offense to Mr. Barton. He did actually make several good shots in the game, which he credits to the system. I have no reason to doubt that the system helped him, but with that much body movement...well you probably understand...

Stan, please dont take this the wrong way, but

I JUST WASTED 13 MINUTES OF MY LIFE, AND I CANT GET THEM BACK,

I appreciate the attempt at explaining, but don't put this system into words or on a page, unless the person is hitting shots and show and tell goes away,

JUST DO IT and

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE,

THATS IT,

Mike

Oh man, it's really thick in here. Chest-high waders and it's still up to the eyeballs.

-Sean <-- like I was the first one to suggest this thread needs to be in the forum created specifically for that lightning rod topic <sigh>

... I have watched both of Stan’s DVDs and am completely unconvinced that he is selling a system that the average player can successfully employ. JB is a good example — 15 years of enthusiastically touting and ferociously defending it ...

Lou -- Let me just correct you on this, as John has already done, because you have said it more than once.

Hal was not teaching CTE 15 years ago. When John first met Hal (2000? 2002?), Hal taught him some aiming methods, but CTE was not one of them. The aiming method that John began trumpeting on RSB was a "quarters" method (no pivots or sweeps), not CTE.

John began cheerleading for CTE before Stan's first DVD was released, but I'd estimate it as within the past 5 years. John's knowledge of CTE at that point was based on what he had read in the forums and some conversations with other CTE users, but John's initial method for CTE was not entirely consistent with Stan's teachings.

So, all those years he was a Houligan and flame wars after that were all a waste ( before CTE ) ?

I am pretty sure there are lots of people who believe an aiming thread should belong in a different forum. Wasn't that why an aiming forum was created?
