Not sure about Fedex but if UPS tubes are going to be handled by USPS, maybe a lot less of them will get bent in half. :thumbup:

Have had lot of stuff the past year or two via Amazon initially go through FedEx then the last leg of delivery gets transferred over to USPS. I think FedEx calls it FedEx SmartPost.
Ive never had it happen before till the past year or so. Now, half the stuff I order from Amazon Prime starts as FedEX but shows up in my USPS mailbox. I've only had it happen with Amazon.
I believe its something like USPS or Postal Innovations or something similar. Basically its along the lines of "last mile" delivery of small parcels. I get a lot of them.

Amazon is the post offices biggest customer in fact their is speculation that they may start Sunday delivery ,,,,
I was told in these parts Amazon "rents" USPS trucks on Sundays for deliveries
Maybe if their paying for the driver also , no way USPS would let anyone else drive thier trucks

I had to ship a medical device recently and they gave me a USPS prepaid postage that was addressed to Fedex.
I assume that the usps brings the package to Fedex as a Convenience to the customer. It can be a pain to find a Fedex office especially if you are in a small or rural town. So the package gets mailed to Fedex usps where they take over.
I don't think it is some kind of evil plot.
Fedex and ups use the postal service to deliver the last mile alot to save money,the postal service by law is required to deliver to every address in America 6 days a week so they have partnered with usps for many years now to save money. Fedex transports priority and express mail for usps. Amazon does use the postal service now for sunday delivery and its usps employees. Amazon's founder started out of his garage many years ago and it was the postal service that made his business a success. Amazon is now testing drones but they have no plans to stop using the postal service..... they are trying to set up there own delivery network and do away with fedex and ups because of there prices. He has stated he will continue using only usps in areas his network can't. If ups and fedex can charge enough to pay the postal service to deliver there packages what does that say about there rates???? Its cheaper to pay someone to drive 20 miles up a dirt road to deliver a new tooth brush from amazon then to drive that big brown truck out there,especially when usps doesn't have a choice by law

fedex and ups pick up and drop off packages at post offices all day....its a partnership! This is all necessary for all parties to survive in today's economy
