There's a lot of things that amaze me about this young man. This is just one of the many SWEET victories he has already had in his very young life.

I can only imagine what the future holds for him. You can read all about his tough, but sweet win here.

This young man is one of the most polite pool players in the world but is a fierce competitor when at the table. He continues to develop as a player and a young man. It's always a pleasure to see him win these type of events but I especially like this victory as he had to come out of the one loss side and beat the player who knocked him into the one loss side, twice.

Congratulations to the champ on yet another well-deserved victory!

Oh yeah, congratulations to his mom & dad who have done a fine job in raising this champion.

He is an amazing player and a great kid too. Hope I get the pleasure of playing him at Junior Nationals this year.

Congrats to Landon and his family for their support and guidance!

Landon is going to need an extra room at his house to stuff all the trophies he is going to win.

State Champ

It is indeed refreshing to see a nice young man doing so well in pool. Hopefully we will all get to see him become the pool champion from whatever university he chooses to graduate from also.

Wouldn't surprise me the SLIGHTEST if he ends up being one of the best players ever. His technique is just TOO good.

Collegiate champion

I have seen Landon play in several Jr. National Championships and there is no doubt he will win a Collegiate Championship when is old enough.:)

David Rice who he double dipped is a good player who just won the Great Southern Billiard Tour stop at Deluth,Ga,he has won several tournaments and placed second in some open events. This lets you know this young man can really play and is beating good players.

Landon is sure making a name for himself, I knew who you were talking about before I even opened the thread LOL.

I had the pleasure of meeting him and sweating a few matches a couple weeks ago. He is a joy to talk to and a blast to watch! His temperment and game is what all players should strive for, and IMO in that order.

I was just sharing this thread with Connie. She appreciates all the thoughtful words and kind comments about Landon.

It was great that the tournament was close by because she was able to watch the second-day matches and see Landon win.

Stan you should be proud. Heck we are proud; in many ways we feel Landon is kin to us. We have watched his progress so avidly its like he's family. He is a well spoken sincere gentleman of the game. Once you meet him you can't help but want to pull for him in a match.

Congrats Landon! What a great achievement!

Heavy Hitting Sponsors

I believe Landon has a few "light" sponsors right now but as his reputation and popularity grows, you would think a smart sponsor would try to sign him to a long term contract.

It would be a good move for any sponsor, imo. I mean, really, Landon has been on television at least a couple of times, beaten many world class professional pool players, won many championships and in his age group, those guys spend money like it grows on trees. :D

College is only two or three years away and that's just another opportunity waiting to happen. Who knows, Landon might just be the light that leads pool to another level.

I agree JoeyA.. The sponsors should be seeking him out, he is well behaved, well coached by an awesome instructor and player (his dad of course) and Landon has a great demeanor. His family is tops in my books and he knows what is important and focuses on his education first, according to his dad.

He's got a lot going for him, and he handles it very well. I love to see one of the good guys doing well in this sport..

Thats what I think too.

Congrats Landon. I met you at Bank Shots last month, it was my emense pleasure to visit with you and Stan. Your demeanor and personal conduct during events is not only a credit to you but to your family as well. It's a pleasure to compete with you and watch you. It is apparent that as you continue down this road you will experience much success. Enjoy it!!! You don't have to be a butt to be a champion. Again, congratulations.
