Still Ran A 3 Pack At 74 Yeqrs Old

Good for you Johnny. I'm 72 and play almost an hour or three every day on GC 9 footers. The only guy in the room that I worry about beating me fairly often is 75. I sometimes b+r but it's unusual if he doesn't break and run in 8 ball. Fun isn't it? Mitch

Congrats Too You Sir,,Keep On Knocking Them In...As Mr Crane Usta Tell Me,,Keep Your Head Down And Follow Through

Turned 74 yesterday and still ran a 3 pack and beat the 9 ball ghost in a race to 10. I got him 10-7, but it was not very pretty. Not bad for 74 with a bad back, right shoulder, both knees shot and COPD...huh? Johnnyt

Nice to hear that! Sounds like it's gonna be a good year for you.

Best,
Mike

Congrats, you've got me by a few years and a few games :)
I play down at the Senior Center and our best player is 73, 2nd best is 75.
We have a pretty good 92 year old player also.
We did have one 98 year old player but he fell and broke his hip :(

Wonder if he remembers when they used to play pool with sticks and rocks?

What an old fart!

But he's our old fart.

I've enjoyed e-meeting you, johnnyt.

Congrats Johnny ... something to be proud of. Made me think of paraphrasing a Fast Eddie line from The Hustler. "Where I come from they say Ole Johnnyt can shoot the eyes right off the balls." A belated birthday wish and keep up the great shooting!

Johnnyt them damn bar boxes should come with a fisher price label!!!!

I just hope I am able to even make a ball in the ocean at 74 so table size be damned. You still have to control whitey and get in and out of traffic on the BB which isn't always so easy.....

Geting old is not for the timid... Just the fact you are still at it in spite of everything we know you are fighting is a testament to your love for the game...

I try and remember that for most of us here we are all on the same path... Actually ALL of us were at some point some are stopped on the journey or they stop themselves...

You seem like your spirit is willing even when the body is not and you have not closed your mind to new ideas... That is something we should all strive to emulate....

Here's to hoping next time out you stick a 5ver on the ghostly bastige and beat him 10-1... I hate to see anyoe get blanked....

Chris

Too bad you don't travel, I'd have a match for you! A little extra table time with that brace sounds like you're getting more out of it than you expected. Happy birthday.. don't worry, I'll do the partying for you.

You GO Johnnyt!

I knew it was a smart move for me to pass up on your offer to do some gambling on your home table. (The transient laborers down here, warned me about ya).
