Just to clarify, the cue is a McDaniels cue, not a Mike Durbin cue...apparently it was 'owned' by Mike Durbin, the poolplayer?

To me, it looks like the cue is signed Michael Durbin, and the fellas name
is "James McDaniles" and not "McDaniels".......but what do I know.....:embarrassed2:
Anyhow, I hope that they catch the creep, and your buddy gets his cue back.

The cue belongs to my friend Jim McDaniles, it was made by cue maker Michael Durbin in Sullivan IL. apparently the cue is not all this creep took, he managed to snag money, clothes, and alot of other stuff from several vehicles while they guys were working.

This is why I always bring my cues inside with me when Im driving. Some people think im crazy for bringing my cues into a restaurant but.... I had my cues stolen from my car once (thank god it was only a dufferin and Lucasi :p) and I will nver leave them in any car ever again...

Sorry to hear the news and I hope you get em back. I would check the pawn shops for sure!!!

Mike Durbin is a great guy. I don't want to speak for him but I bet if your friend is unable to get his cue back, if he called Mike he would get a hell of a deal on a new cue.

Jim McDaniles is one of my closest personal friends...it isn't about replacing the cue...it is that it was the first one he bought from me back in 2002. Plus I just can't stand a thief!! Any info would be greatly appreicated.

Watchez...Thanks for the kind words.

I just printed a copy of the cue. I'll post it when I go in at 1100 today. I north of you but it's worth a try.

I have been on both sides of this before. I have been able to get several stolen cues back to the rightful owners, but it takes some help from the great people of the pool world. Thanks in advance to all who help. I will make it worth your while if we can get it back.

To the OP and other parties involved:

Plaster all of the pawn shops in your area with info on this stolen cue - one may either already have it or may have had the thief come to their counter with it. If the thief isn't offing the goods elsewhere, pawn shops are usually a pretty good place to look.

Good luck getting your buddies cue back.

Best,
Brian kc
