This kind of blatent act of thievery never ceases
to amaze me. Either the thief is a total idiot, or...
well a total idiot. Do these people not realize just
how small the billiard community is, and that we
actually look out for each other? Unless you want
to steal a cue(s)/case(s) and just put them in a
closet forever, chances are you will run across
someone who will recognize the stolen merchandise
and you'll probably end up with your skull cracked
open if you were to ever go out in public with the
stuff you stole. I have a good friend of mine who
owns the local pool hall who had his pool hall broken
into many years ago and the thief sold the cues to
someone who put them in the local newspaper for
sale and someone noticed the ad, called my buddy
and he went to look at the cues advertised, and
viola...they were his cues and he got them back.
As it turns out, the guy selling the cues rolled over
on the guy who actually stole them and he's doing
a little time at a not-so-nice resort somewhere in
Wisconsin. So, point being...there is hope! We as
a community will keep an eye out for these cues.
I wish you and your friend the best of luck in the
recovery of these cues and the Murnak(?) case...

I am sick

This makes me sick to hear. I hope that that not only are the cues recovered, but that the perpetrator of this crime is caught and punished to the maximum. It takes a low life scumbag to do something like this.
sincerly,
Phil

I hate to hear of this. You know the low life(s) that stole them don't even appreciate what the are. Just $$ to them. I truly hope that they are recovered unscathed.

This sickening and absolutely disgusting behavior. They'll probably show up in a pawn shop soon. I hope you catch the sorry bastard Duc!

I down in the southeast, but I'll keep an eye out.

I am sorry to hear of your friend's mishap. I believe someone was closely watching your friend and knew of or suspected highend cues in that nice case and waited for his or her opportunity.

I had a beautiful Scruggs in a pristine It's George 2 x 4 case that I had brought with me to league nite. Went to the bathroom and when I came out discovered it was gone. This happened some ten years ago and the cue never resurfaced again. Now I only take a sneaky and a simple vinyl (inexpensive) 1 X 2 case with me to league.

My advice to anyone...if you plan on taking highend cue(s) with you to the bar or pool hall either have someone you trust watch it for your or bring it with you into the bathroom (it's not as unusual as you think).

Good luck in your efforts to recover your cues.

thanks guys...really appreciate the comments and helps to look out for these cues. Hopefully, the person who took is smart enough to do the right thing. Police will be checking the camera from PC richardson....so I think we'll find out who walk out of the room with the cues.

Here's the room location for those that asked:

Wow Duc..
I had some stuff stolen from that same room...
Long Island has an eye out for the cue as well.

just flat out pathetic of them to steal, I know when Im playing in Bars without people I may not have the most expensive cues or rarest cues in the world but If im going to take a piss Im taking my cues up to the bar or carrying them with me, just out of habit.

Ill keep an eye out in Houston Area. Although I doubt they will be down here.
If i do go back up to Jersey for the summer Ill be in a pool hall a few nights a week keeping an eye out.

Hope this guy is found.
