My avatar is an image I shot myself a few years back. Not a great image as such things go but it does remind me of myself on New Years morning back in my drinking days. I use the large picture for my New Years greeting a handful of places and just never took it down from here since it makes it very easy to find my own posts scrolling through to see if there have been any direct replies.

Maybe I'll post a scantily clad lady one day just to join the crowd but I'll have to grab my camera and go take the picture myself instead of finding a copy. I'm a hands on kind of guy.

This is the oldest pool ball I've ever seen, or owned in this case. It is a clay ball circa early 1900's, pre Greenleaf era. This type of ball was used until the 20's and early 30's, as far as I can tell from the feedback I've gotten.

I put it on eBay a month ago just to see what would happen. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was very active bidding on it. Some people recognized it and knew how old it was. Final sale price was $147.50 for one pool ball.

I play with a Paul Mottey cue and I scanned a picture and resized it to use as an Avatar. I've owned a few of Paul's cues and I thought it made a good avatar for a billiard forum.

Today's avatar is Riley & me chilling on the couch last Friday night. Mine changes often, but it could be either of my cats, a shot from a pool tournament...just whatever I feel that day. :)
 
Besides playing pool in my free time i train in MMA and am an avid fan of fighting it is the fastest growing sport in the world maybe we can incorparate pool into the mix lol:D :D
