Lets see hes playing pool in Europe and you are doing what? Making sad sounds on the internet.

Behaving should count for something.

Again though, every child needs someone in their corner.

Either that, or one of those straps that'll supress the child from running away. And get mittens for Earl too.

Hey there Ironman, I didn't know you were a Tex native... me too! Go Spurs!

I think having Earl around is great, after all, if it wan't for Earl you wouldn't have ANYONE to talk about! At least he don't bite peoples ears off, or stomp on anyone's head with football cleats, or kick anyone in the nuts after a socker game, or hit someone in the head with a hockey stick!

Speaking of which... I wouldn't mind having something like that happen to me right now. :D Hey Cobra, quit being a cheerleader, you're giving me the creeps. :p

I don't have a opinion either way for Earl but at least he is not trying to be someone he is not. He is who he is - take it or leave it. I respect that (not what he did but he is real and human and not afraid to show it)

Maybe earl got some lime light match advise about cue treatment from Mike Sigel, :)

I don't care, I like Earl, and the passion He has for the game. I think He just wants to play at a top level so badly, when He can't it drives him to the brink.

I wish I felt that strongly for the game at times.

Not Yet He Hasn't. Johnnyt

Right now it is 9-6 Europe. I am hoping the USA gets to Earl vs Nick. That should be good.

?????????

Just like Ryder Cup atleast Europeans know who to pull for. Americans
have little or no home court. Americans playing in America against Filipino
or Europeans many times the crowd is against them. I don't get i!!!!!!!!!
Pinocchio
He wins for America I applaud him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a native Texan, to be honest. I moved here about 7 years ago.

I do pull wildly for the Spurs though.

I bet the guys at Cuetec are pleased.
I'm not sure he is still sponsored by Cuetec. There is no longer an Earl Strickland line. I think it is called the Classic Collection. I think that is how Muller's have it.

Straight from the Mosconi Cup website:

Strickland then stormed off when Sky Sports presenter Andy Goldstein tried to interview him immediately after the match but did then speak later on.

"I enjoyed it because I won but people don’t understand the pressure that sportsmen are put under and if they don’t understand they shouldn’t be watching sport," said Strickland.

"Thomas didn’t play well and it was a comedy of errors at the end of the match. But I couldn’t perform like I do if I wasn’t like this. It’s good for you guys because it carries on your soap opera."
All the Americans are being treated like that. My God the audience has bull horns .We as spectators do not do what they are doing hey part of our American crowds pull for the foreigners even when hes playing a American, but its not like that anywhere else.Matchroom is provoking what they can remember its better showing for tv .Johnny broke his shaft and Corey got upset its playing on their nerves.Davis and Schmidt having received no points for US they are dead weight and not helping the team at all.The guys nerves are playing on them and they have no US support there .Please bull horns and whistlers and no support from the crowd our guys are lucky to have the points they have.

Excuse me...

Sorry but have to reply to this...

Bull horns,whistles, and what ever..
They do it to support the europeans!
Not to put of the americans..
They don't do it during important shots...
They do it to celebrate...

OK.. They might not really like earl in Holland after what happened during the IPT...
Don't know if some of you can remember that?

But everytime when the Mosconi is in America..
Think that most of the audience is cheering for America and not for Europe!
We don't complain about it.. We try to handle it.
We know that we're not the favourites but we are trying our best and this time the crowd is supporting us and that might help!

I was there yesterday when it happened. Earl was playing like a God having missed only one ball so far. Then he got a difficult position on the keyball for the match, missed the pot and smashed the shaft on the ground, tip first.

After having won the match, he was asked to give a small interview for TV but got boohed and shout at and told the interviewer he'ld be better off asking the audience what to think about his game as they would know better anyway. Then Earl told the interviewer he would put the smashed shaft on Ebay and just walked away.

After that unfortunate event, I've spoken to a team member of the USA team who confirmed me that Earl definately belongs in a mental institution. Apparently, Earl blaimed it all on the teams lack of interest to win the cup. That annoyed him so much that he said : "if you guys don't give a damn about the cup, why should I ?"

Why would you treat you team members like that? Rodney is dead sick, but still playing incredibly and some of the other members are still under the influence of the jet lag... How can you expect perfect games from the start???

Anyway, I didn't like the fact that Earl was not givin' the oppertunity to answer the questions from the interview. But on the other hand, he shouldn't have treated Nick van den Berg's family like shit nor his team mates.

To me, Earl is still the best player and I'll keep respecting his fantastic game.

So for the Earl fans... watch Ebay for the next fews days.
