Svb cancelled

I just heard everyone at his home pool rooms was waiting for the match and know one has heard from him.

I hope he is okay, seems a bit odd that he never let anyone know he was not going to show.
Really do hope he is okay.

SVB didn't even play the tournament and showed
He should have to pay a no show fee, I'd love to hear Shanes remark if JB ever barks again

Not exactly true. SVB did play the tournament and took 4th. He also played the handicapped team event as well. Results are on the MPA Pool website.

Shane lives in Sioux Falls where the tournament was held. In regards to Jesse not showing up there are several rumors floating around but I know first hand the tournament director has heard nothing from him all day after trying to reach him all day after getting word he was going to be a no-show.

Coward, huh? So quick to share your opinion...without the facts. Whilst we wait for said details, suppose you regale us with the minutiae of your last gambling session with SVB.

A good judge of cowardice should be able to expound on the last half-dozen battles you've had with him.

You can skip the time you jumped in a $20 king of the table with him when he was 15...and quit after unloading one barrel.

Does Mr. Bowman only play on the tiny tables? I guess I have only seen his name when talking about Bar tables.

It would be interesting to see if he can play Shane on a big table.

If something major isn't wrong and he wouldn't even answer his phone after people put time and effort in promoting the match then that was a pos move. Somebody knew enough to know it weren't happening

Was this a gambling session or was it a paid exhibition? It appeared as though the players were putting up the money, but maybe you guys know more.

Many posters are implying that JB & SVB were contracted to perform & therefore were obligated to the promoter...& by extension to the potential viewing public. Maybe some of you could provide some detail of their appearance fee & contractual obligations.

IME, medium & high stakes gambling sessions are a fleeting & unreliable thing. Sometimes they go off without a hitch, but most of the time they sputter & stall. JCIN could probably give some opinion on that. This one stalled on the trot to the gate.

If this was a gambling session...that we were going to be given the opportunity eavesdrop on, well I'm not out much. I didn't pay any PPV fees, I didn't have to post a few thousand dollars, & my Saturday night carried on despite the disappointment.

I dont know what the details on this were. From what I gathered it was an action match that someone was going to piggyback a stream on. Can't say as I am surprised. Nasty tried to set something up with Jesse for years and it was always something.

If the streamer didnt pay the guys anything or commit to pay something and it was strictly an action match the only guy I see having a beef with Jesse is Shane for wasting his time. If the streamer promoted the match based only on someone saying "Oh its on. I guarantee it" then thats on them. Been there done that.

Maybe Jesse has a legit reason for no showing. If hes not in the hospital or in jail its pretty easy to make a phone call though....and maybe he did call someone and no one knows it here yet. I think he probably just changed his mind for whatever reason. Hopefully its neither of the two above reasons.

Shit happens. It happens more often than not when action games are involved.

I heard jesse wasn't going to show because they wouldn't give him a room. I called John stich and he told me he had a room and if I could get in touch with him to tell hem that. he said he was trying to get in touch with him but couldn't. I had an individual contact him and he came back and told me he talked to jess and he was not planning on going because of the free stream. he thought it should be pay per view so he could get a cut.

If any of you that are talking crap knew what you were talking about you would know Jesse has played Shane as many times if not more times than any other player out there and is defiantly not scared but I realize most of AZ land is about talking not knowing. Have a nice night

Great post sir

I am not buying the no room excuse. His dad and brother played the tournament the way it looks. Maybe they didn't have a room but sounds fishy.

It sucks for those that devoted time to promote.

He SHOULD get a cut?????????????..... Jesse should stick to finding a job where he has to say "would you like fries with that?" PPV doesn't bring in the big bucks or ESPN wouldn't treat men's pool like the plague...

If he needed a saver... It wasn't up to the streamer... It was up to Shane...

IF anyone knew who Jesse was he could have negotiated... As of now his relevance is less than zero... which is where it was when the whole discussion started......

If that's true then it was an excuse to keep from being embarrassed by SVB
SVB is a true champion and had no gripes
Hell most people don't even know who he is.
He needs a reality check. Not even close to Shane in popularity and wants
a cut of the stream.

It truely is a new world. When we used to travel the country to find action we didnt have 500 computer geeks to appoligize too when we couldn't reach an agreement.

Who else can see this as the buzz needed for a grudge match PPV event.
