SVB not wanting to play Lion in all around for $50k?

Mr. LoneSilencer, how much you offering? I'm sure you'll offer 2 to 1 on my cash if this goes off right? You'll give me 5 games or more race to 30, 10ball. And 3 games in a race to 8, 1p. Pry give me 75 balls race to 300 straight pool?

Seriously, what kind of line are you offering if you think Alex would rob SVB at anything pool related?

Open mic night at the comedy club, Alex is a lock, but if pool is involved it's a coin toss at best.

I'll give you credit, you can sure bark loud...

Yeah you are not getting any of that. I give you credit for trying though!

The table would help Alex fade the Break taking out that and the predictability of the patterns plays more in to Alex's skill set. Shane knows that he's no dummy

Agree that on 3 7/8", Shane's edge in 8-ball would be reduced.

An actual real All Around would be all games.

8 ball
9 or 10 ball
one pocket
banks (short/full)
3 cushion
snooker
straight pool
etc.

I dont think SVB would be a favorite in all aspects of billiards over Alex. People toss all around like theres only 2 or 3 games to play.

I think we're talking pool. That does not include 3 cushion or snooker (although Alex would be the favorite in both of these games). Other wise: 8 ball=S, 9 ball= even, 10 ball= S 0ne pocket= very close, banks= A, straight pool = toss up. So with three of the games with no fav and 2 for S, maybe, and 1 for A. Looks a lot like a toss up and could easily change in a second match. I think you are correct Alex if all billiard games are included but Shane might have a little edge in pool games.

Have em play a race to 21 on a bar box, opposite handed.

It might be closer than you indicate, since Alex is probably the favorite in 1P (based on watching Shane struggle against Efren, though he did pull it out at the end, as compared to Alex destroying Frost and some other big wins).

If so, then you have:

Shane: 8-ball, 10-ball
Alex: 1P, banks
Pickem: 9-ball, Straight.

Pretty damn even, especially given that either player could easily lose the game in which they're the theoretical favorite. Are any of these more lopsided than 60/40?

FTR, I would buy this all around. If not TAR, then perhaps Accustats could do another Make It Happen?

I don't have Shane having a decided edge in any game on those tables

I think I need to give you a reminder..

2012 9-Ball Banks, 2nd

Oh, he also won the 9b in 2009.

Wasn't there something about the US Open?

Alex won the banks again this year? That's pretty sporty, too.

I would love to hear your reasoning behind this statement? Didn't Shane thrash Alex on those tiny little 4 1/8" pockets on the TAR table? I'm not saying I like Shane better on tight pockets, but your reasoning doesn't add up.

My question is if/when this goes off, what odds are you GIVING to bet on Shane?

Don't get me wrong, Alex can play right with Shane, but is definitely a slight underdog. I also think for Shane to take any game that takes away his biggest advantage is the ONLY way to beat the kid. (I.E. The Break)

I said he does not have a decided edge on 3 7/8 tables at hard times You say no big deal Shane already trashed him on a tight 4 1/8 table. So it sounds like ur the one who should give odds. So whatcha giving

Sorry, have to disagree on one hole....

Yeah, Shane is the only person besides Efren to win back to back DCC one hole....

I think people tend to underestimate Shane's ability to play one hole, because they focus on his tenball break too much.

Frequent Flyer Miles

But he doesn't Earl smacked him around twice this weekend
He won't play JA on his table and now he won't play Alex at Hard Times where else won't he play

...ever notice we're discussing SHANE that travels - I know everyone does but how many pros are traveling to Shane's home table to play him? Do you EVER hear Shane say it needs to be his table? I don't think so. "Have cue will travel" reads the card of that man.

How about Alex going to SD (Shane's Domain or South Dakota your preference) and rolling a little long race in BB8, 9/10, 1hole, 14.1.

Tell me, where is the weight then?

Shane knows his game-There was a time less than 15 mos ago where he said he did not want to play Dennis O 10 Ball "right now" When he finally took the game, it was no contest.

Since when? Shane doesn't live in Vegas, he doesn't practice on it more regularly than any other table, and it's setup just like ever other diamond in every other tournament theses guys play. Is he comfortable there, sure, but so are most guys.

Just as an example for 10ball. And I will have to give weight to bet on Shane if they play race to 100 again, I will offer 10 games or so I'm sure.

What I was getting at is you say he doesn't have an edge in ANY game, and we all know he's favored in 10ball against ANYONE.

I'm sure plenty of people thought that and Can went out & destroyed him. Ko would do the same as well. I am pretty sure Wu would as well. He is not the favorite over EVERYONE.
