There's a reason Alex got back into the game with Shane...and that's because a certain person left the room...and so did Shane's attention span. If they played again today....it wouldn't even be close...as it was, Shane had a 28 game spread on Alex at one point...so you figure how how Alex came back....without Shane's help...by way of lack of attention to what he was doingwhy do you think...it hasn't happened again since then?
lol this is funny. Alex is just a better player than Shane, period.
I agree, and Alex don't play every day like Shane does. Just imagine if Alex played every day-every week like most players do. He would be a running out freak show.

No, actually he's not. Alex is a fantastic player and one of the most gifted and big hearted players on earth. But he is not a "better" player than Shane.
Shane and Alex are two top pros that can beat each other on any given day.
I will bet on Alex every time but not because I think Alex is going to win every time. It's because I think Alex will never give up and never stop thinking he can win until the last ball falls.
We need a rematch between these two on TAR.
That was my point too. I think Alex has a great game but no one will rob SVB.

Thats so true John. It would be good but I dont think these guys would have it. To lose 3 races (potentially) in 3 days is a lot of $$$
In tournaments Mika is still by far the stronger player over Shane. In this format Shane has proven that his reputation is well deserved.
Personally I think it's pretty interesting that in all the times the Filipinos have been to the USA for events none of them except Alex (who is really Canadian) have ever challenged Shane to a TAR match. Surely they have backers to whom 10k is pocket change.
Why no Dennis, Efren, Lee Van, Roberto Gomez or any of them?
That's the next big one I'd think.
