Swanee's Cue?

What cue or cues was Jay Swanson into?

I know he had a Tad for a long time

The times I had the pleasure of watching him play, he was using a Tad.

When I lived in San Diego in the 80's he was only ever using that plain birdeye Tad. He was very good at using I might add.

His close friend Mondo Gomez has that cue and will never part with it. Plain Tad with an ivory or white phenolic joint.

Martin copy Tad with 3/8-10 pin, white phenolic joint and red/brown phenolic ring on the shaft at joint, delrin buttcap with deco band above buttcap. It was the only cue I saw Swanee play with. Mondo owned and played with a very similar cue and I heard he ended up with Jay Swanson's cue too.

I believe Tad's HM-style cues have 3/8 12 pins.
