Thought I would show this cue to the fellas.. What a Machine! I think it's a pretty early cue.. Possibly from the early 70's.. Any ideas?

Nice older Tad. Would be a great player!

Looks like 1970s to me too.

Thanks for sharing.

It would be interesting to me if you could get an actual manufacture date.

A refinish would make the veneers pop, but it is in such great shape, I probably wouldn't do it. If it was rough, I would have it done. I truly hate Tad's finish, but if I had this cue and decided to have it refinished, I would have Tad do it.

Thanks for the advice Kenny.. I contemplated having it refinished but the cue is pretty much ding free.. The only issue it has is the glue stain on the bottom of the wrap but I decided I can live with that because I have to keep that original Cortland wrap.. It feels like a Tad wrap for sure.. The rest of it is very nice too.. It weighs in at 19.7 which is a "Tad" heavy for me but the balance hides it well.. I definitely put it at the top of my list for cues to keep..

I can't remember, is this pre-serial number or have you not looked?

I tend to think that the older cues of this design generally had boxed veneers and that mitered like your are "newer" but that's not a hard and fast rule and TAD was really a rule-breaker, or to say the least, had a mind of his own.

Great cue.

No number on it that I can find anywhere..
