Sweet Tooth Billiards-Glendale AZ

Where do I start.....

Well that makes you a Donor to the prize fund, as you are there to donate to the prize fund because as you said, "I have a slim chance of winning or even cashing."

The people who actually win should kiss you feet for lining their pockets with that extra money you donated.

Yes I understand you want to get better, that is not a bad thing, but trust me you don't have to be a donor to accomplish that goal.

Get out and play more, practice more, and maybe someday you will rise to the Pro level if that is your goal.

First off, you have a very skewed way of looking at things. I think that explains a lot about why you are the way you are. The only way to get better is to play better players in the heat of competition. You can practice all you want but you need to experience the situations or you will not know what to do when they arise.

Second, nobody should be kissing anybodys feet for anything. We all have our own reasons to be there. I am not donating to anybody. I am investing in my game. As a matter of fact the last DCT tourney I played in, although I didn't place in the money I still got money back.

Third, Trust you? I wouldn't trust you to match my socks up in pairs.

And finally, my goal is to be better than I was yesterday. Your biggest problem is you put a monetary value on everything. Some things may cost money but the experience has a much higher value then any piece of green paper.

Thats awesome I loved the little intro. I don't know if it is just me or not but on the top right hand side where there are supposed to be images or links I just have little boxes with a red x in them like it isn't loading. Again that could just be my computer.
Either way looks great.

i am getting same thing now. They are actually photos, I will have Jimmy fix it. Thanks Mark.

Dennis like to make jokes, and I think most of what he say is just joking.

BTW when is someone going to post pictures of the Interior of Sweet Tooth.:D

I have a bunch of really great photo's of the Interior of Sweet Tooth. I was there for 7 hours yesterday and man I love those Diamonds. Go check it out for yourself! They are open from 2 p.m. - 6 a.m. daily.

1 correction on the table time. After 6:30 p.m. it's $7.80/hour/table for any diamond. If you are by yourself, it's $4.80/hour/table. From 2 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. they have a flat rate of $6/person.

The food is great, I had lunch and dinner there yesterday. And the ice cream drinks are dangerously good.

Coco, I will pay for your entry fee if you want to play this weekend.. I think it would be nice having something to laugh about this weekend.Kind of like a clown at the rodeo. Just let me know

Again thanks for your generous offer

I read your post, appreciate your generous offer, and will not be around this weekend. As I have a previous commitment.

Secondly both Jimmy & Dennis asked me last year to not come to any of their events on this Forum, so in respecting their wishes, I seriously double if you will ever see my near a DCT Venue, when their is a DCT EVENT happening.

As I PM's both Jimmy, and Dennis and said I would respect their wishes, and comply with their request!

Maybe you could you offer that GREEN you were offering me to help that young lady that Fast Lenny was trying to raise funds for yesterday to pay her entry in the Nation Bar Box in Reno later this month.

Again thanks for your generous offer.

Hey guys, not to hijack this thread but I have an opportunity here in Gilbert (East Valley). A local bar has a room on the side that they really don't use. It is n't very big but I could fit 3 9fters in there.
I am really mixed on this so be very honest as to your opinions.
I can take over the room. and give the owner a small% of what the tables make, and I get a small % of the beer & food sales that come out of there. So my thought is since there would only be 3 tables, I do them up real nice T Blue Smonis put in either GC or Diamonds Make 2 of the tables tight as hell. So this would be no place for bangers just educated players.
First is it worth doing anything with only 3 tables? I mean it would be hard to hold tourneys and such and also would anyone come to the East Valley to play there? I am not sure of many players out in this area I mean the players who are not bangers that is who could make this their little practice place close to home. Anyway like I said I just have the opportunity and need honest answers. Thanks,

Read Post # 90 on PAGE # 6 Rick. That was the reason I did not take your offer, but if you have extra money for a good cause.

I think most of us have an entire list of "It would be nice if you...." but I'll leave that alone, as I think they would mostly be pointed at you.

Since I'm out of town.....not qualified! I'd help if I could.

I wish there was a room like that here, close to Oro Valley where I live. Even 3 tables, as long as they were nice. I have to drive 30 miles to play. It sucks....

I'd support you if you were here.

Thanks Rick, even though you are not hear it still gives me an idea of if people would come with only 3 tables. I only consider it because I feel the same way about my area. The closest I really got is tempe 1/2hr away in clear traffic.
I would try and do some small tourneys that could be played over 2 days and special events etc. Thanks for the input and support though

Mark,

It really depends on your out of pocket cost. If it only cost you for the tables, then you are in a winning spot. Everything after that is all profit for you. On the other hand, if you have to pay for rental space, you may be pressed to make enough to pay it. If you get to keep a % of the tables, plus a % of the food, the only cost you will have to recoup is the cost of the tables, plus the vendor licensing fee the city charges for each table, which probably isn't much in Gilbert.

The smart choice would be to go with Diamond Tables i would think. I like both, but personally, i think the Diamond is much more durable, easier to move, and will probably hold it value. The GC definately holds it's value too. As you know, many tourneys are going to Diamonds now.

Just my $.02. Hope it all works out for you, i'm all for more Diamonds in the valley of the sun.

Dennis
