Donny why did gamemaker back out of the game where you were playing Rodney even 9 ball rack our own. You said you would play and at first gamemaker said he would put Rodney in the box with that game. Im just lost trying to find out what changed.

I think the rack your own is what bothered him. I'd rather play a tar match that is even.

Special table? My special table is any gold crown or diamond that is about 4 and a half inches that plays good, and a room that is well lit, and the tables aren't crowded. You don't know too much.

Twice now you and I have spoke about you playing Larry Nevel and you wanted weight at the time which Larry agreed to. I gave you his number to contact him to setup the time and date and you never called.

That aside, I just got off the phone with Larry. If you wanna come to Beloit, WI and play on the Diamond table they have there, you got action. 10-ball, even, rack your own. Larry hasn't been playing lately so this should be pretty easy action for you if you can find your way out of Florida, which I'm sure you won't be able to for whatever reason.

Nobody, I mean No One in their right mind wants to go to WI until the snow is dead and gone. Even then it is a 23 hour grind of a drive. One hell of a beautiful place in the late summer, but when the snow melts the farmers sling on all that "slurry" and God Dang it stinks to high hell. Tell ya what, come on down for a vacation. Promise the water will be right, no Slurry, not a drop of that rancid shit. And flip flops are optional. Bikinis and margaritas dude, not Sleet, carhardt jackets, bib overalls and slurry.

You said you would play rodney 10 ball rack your own...then you back-peddled and wanted 15 game on the wire. and trust me, i'm not mad because you started playing at 16 and play better than i ever will. i guess i just wasted all my time going to college and graduating so that i could start my own practice as a chiropractor...boy was i dumb. i'm sure you will start another thread like this in a couple of more months and then make all kinds of excuses and conditions to get out of playing....again. good luck.

Why is anyone being harsh on Donny?

He laid it out pretty clearly that he would like to play:


Jeremy Jones even 10 ball
Charlie William even 10 ball
Any American other than Corey rack-your-own 9 ball even
Rodney Morris 10 ball w/ 15 games to 100



All of these offers were pretty clear and I think pretty sporty. He has said numerous times that he doesn't fly (which I think is ridiculous, but that's his decision). He has said he would play at any room in his region of FL on any table with tight pockets.

All this seems pretty straight-forward and I commend the guy for offering the action. Everyone who talks about his gaff-rack, you practice it for a month and try him some and then practice a month and play Corey soft break only. I agree with Justin that these guys have learned a skill just a some players play only one pocket and some only banks.

Ironman317 seems to have it stuck in his head the Donnie agreed to play rodney even 10 ball at some point, which he did not.

I only play 9ball rack ur own, and i also only play 10ball rack ur own. 10k sounds good 15 ahead. Oh ya, I always play the 9 or the 10 doesn't count on the break.

there is no mention of a spot in post #135. donnie makes a point of saying he also only plays 10 ball rack your own. then he says 10k sounds good, 15 ahead. where does he mention the spot playing 10 ball here? he doesn't, until he is told he can play this game in a race to 100.

I don't understand the "rack your own" thing. If playing for any real money, wouldn't you rack your opponents and they accept/decline or have a neutral racker? I mean, who would allow a PLAYA to rack their own for any substantial amount of money?

Don't get me wrong - I admire a rack artist the way I admire a card mechanic... it's a beautiful thing to watch when done correctly. However, having a gaff and rarely being able to use it is like knowing a program on a poker machine and never finding the machine....cool, but frustrating.

Great post. Seems like a huge waste of time learning something that is little more than a gaff. I guess it a way so you can woof at way better players than yourself.

We are going to have to agree to disagree here. When you take post 135 and actually put in context with the rest of the conversation they were having, I am willing to bet Donnie was talking about 9 ball.

Donnie only mentioned the 10 ball to make it clear the he plays rack your own in that game too.

They are being harsh because everyone likes to sit in there chair and bash! And most of them haven't even read the damn thread obviously, he has stated who he would play how and where, very clearly, and so far hasn't backpeddled off something he said! There are plenty of good tables, and good rooms in this area. And it isn't like it would be strange turf for Rodney, he lived here for awhile, and ran around all the same rooms as Donny! JJ knows central FL too, he used to come here a couple times a year because his grandparents lived in the Winter Haven area. He would stay for a week or two at a time and spar with the locals. And Charlie is already here, he has played in local tournaments the last two months, so I don't know why everyone wants to make a big deal about the location!(if i had such so-called easy action, i would go to his area to play!)
All he did was make an offer, who he would play, how he would play, and where he would play. Why that is a problem, I have no idea! And like someone said earlier, obviously nobody likes it that much, cause there sure isn't a big line! Funny how the seminole tour and there $8000 added draws people from all over the country, but nobody wants to drive here for a $10,000 match!
