A great collection like this isnt aquired over night-it takes years to find these kinds of cues, I have been collecting for over 20 years. Sometimes it takes ALONG time to find a great Gus or Bushka.

cmon eric

I need to get pics, i have been planning on it for along time, i need to build a data base of my collection and shoot pics, I dont know how many cues I have, i have them all memorized but just how many I dont know, Steve has a larger overall collection, I'm stronger in the Barry Szams and Bushkas, its not contest though, I'm triple happy for Steve.

With all the ivory on that table I guess its safe to say you are not a member of PETA!!!!! That is simply amazing. I am in awe.

Steve,

Where about on long Island are you, i would love to see this Absolutely Amazing collection in person.

I really hope that you have it insured !

Happy Collecting !
Steve

I recently had a discussion with Mike Miller (Michael Morgan Cues) and he mentioned that he recently helped someone from Long Island. put a value on his Huge Collection for insurance reasons. I wonder if this was you that he was talking about !

I've been looking for a nice storage unit. Which location are you at and which unit number? If you tell me, I promise to call you and offer you 10k for half the cues back and then get arrested. KIDDING.

Umm btw. Freaking amazing collection. How many years in the making?

Mark Kulungian and Mike did spend two days with me going over all my cues, so that I could uodate my insurance......I have also moved about 95% of the collection to a temperature controlled storage unit. They have 24 hour security....but most importantly, they arent in my home safe anymore.

Its a real pain having them not nearby, but worth the piece of mind....
Steve

WOW! Tikkler-

A few comments...

That is indeed a fine collection! Being a "chick", I collect fine jewelry and some of my pieces are just too nice/expensive to wear everyday. I have yet to feel comfortable with the next statement...

I always hear people say, "what good is it stored away? If you have it, enjoy it!".......Do you play with these fine specimins?

Which is your favorite player (if you do)?

....to Fatboy, I would be "quint"-tazimo happy ( ) (ok, not a word..lol) to come and photograph your collection! I am 2 years out of Photography school...lol

I agree, i have my cues in triple lock-down. Its impossible for anyone to get my cues. Its is well worth the piece of mind, It would be great to have open racks all around my poolroom to be able to see them all and grab which ever one I wanted to-but the world dosent work like that, unless I turned my pool table room into a vault. But that isnt feasable.:(

hey

It is a pain in the ars to go get them out whenever...and bring them back....but the piece of mind I get from not having them here, is worth the hassle.

When Fatboy comes over, it will be worth the trip to the storage unit.....like it would for any other visitors......after all I get my son and son inlaw to do most of the work....LOL

Hi Steve,

Wow...what an amazing collection of cues!! Your son must be very proud.

Hopefully, one day my sons would be able to do that for me. LOL:) Can't wait until they both finish college to play pool with me....I've made each of them a cue and saved them both a cue that I've consider to be my top 3 favorite players. Hopefully they don't start to play pool until they've finished college. I would hope one day they'll become collector of cues as well and not become a player.

Are all these cues designed to your spec?

Congrat on a dream collection!

Sincerely,
Duc.

Great collection. Did you recently do any remodeling work for Bill Grassley? :D :D :D Oh, I forgot, he said that the ones stolen were under $10,000 each. My bad. You truly have some of the nicest cues I have ever seen.

On a side note:

Ifthey are stored offsite, can you purchase insurance for their actual replacement value? Also, I would make sure that the storage facility doesn't have a limit on value of a unit topped off by their insurance carrier. Not unlike some delivery services that will "sell" you insurance to a specific value, but then cap off the claim when loss occurs regardless of the amount of coverage you paid for. You think you are getting more than you actually are. I know in general for a homeowners policy you have to purchase a rider for collectibles, as most tap out the coverage at about $5000. The riders are based on appraised value (or less if you choose), and are quite expensive. You also have to keep a current inventory and formal written appraisals for each cue.

Then if you have a loss you have to actually prove the value to a claims adjuster, which may be a whole other ballgame.

If any cue collectors need any in-home remodling done-give me a call, I will give you the best price ever. ;)

With all due respect to Bill and Steve that is real funny. I'm so glad Bill has recovered some of his cues-I'm sure the rest will come back, they have ALOT on these guys-they have no shot of not getting caught.

Steve, I will be glad to help go to the storage unit, I will dring Mountain Dew;s and supervise:eek:  . I cant get there fast enough.
