I practice on a 9ft with tighter pockets, but my actual play is on an 8 foot during leagues and sometimes the occasional bar box if I'm out with friends but that's pretty rare. :-(

I play on 9 8 and 7' tables on a regular basis.

Perhaps you should have had an all of the above catagory.

supergreenman:

I agree, I do as well -- I own a 7-footer due to space limitations in my townhouse, but I play in a league that specifically plays on 9-footers, and I grew up playing on 9-footers as well. (About the only time I personally come across 8-footers is in people's homes.)

Instead of using radio buttons (i.e. only one choice can be selected at a time), methinks the poll would be better served with multi-select checkboxes, IMHO.

Same here. I got a tight brunswick 9ft at home but the poolhall has oversized 8's.

9 footers for me and once in a while i play snooker thats around around 11-12 ft

Funny

Why there have been 242 looks at this poll but only 7 people voted on the size table they play on most of the time.

I'm fortunate enough to live in an area with a lot of halls sporting good equipment of all shapes and sizes.

Given the choice as I do, I wonder how many people would choose anything but a 9 footer for the majority of their pocket billiards play.

I'd love to own a 9 footer, but I don't think, I have the room.

I like to play on a 9 footer, and I avoid the bar boxes like the plague- I just can't get used to them!

The surface is smaller but the balls are the same size... Get's really crowded!

I am moving into a new home here in a few weeks and I am hoping to fit a 9 foot table in the basement... If not, I guess I'll just habve to get another house!:)

Play on 9 footers whenever possible, but enjoy 8's, 7's, snooker, whatever....good play is good play....as long as the equipment is solid and in good playing condition, I really enjoy the game.....dead rails and unlevel tables are sometimes necessary evils, but I avoid them if at all possible...

Who says size matters?:grin-square:

Most of my play is on bar boxes due to league play, but I prefer to play on 9 footers!!

I usually play on an 8 footer since a full 9 would not fit at home. But then, most of our tournaments / competition matches are played on valley bar boxes.

My normal play is on barboxes seeings how most of my leagues are on Valleys and I have 1 in my basement. I run a 1 pocket in house so I shoot on 9s whenever I can. Recently started playing golf on a 10 footer
