Mainly the players prefer to play in the evening and so do I. Playing pool in the daylight is just not natural. The start time may be adjusted if we see that it is taking longer than 6 hours or so to play. With this table that is a real possibility.

How are they going to set up the seating around the table? I didn't see any chairs or tables in the pictures? I should be there by Thursday afternoon. Should be a very interesting match. Thanks for the pictures Justin.

They are pulling all the tables out of the room and setting up a VIP section in a horseshoe shape around the table. Bleachers will be on the two long sides of the tables.

The 5x10 will have four lights over it and lighting around the edges of the table for the stream. Mike Mousie the owner of Ice breakers is going all out on this and has done a fantastic job preparing for the match. I think it will be one of the better set ups we have ever had.

Everything is getting set up Thursday night. Ice Breakers does a very big league business so as soon as those are over Thursday night all the tables are coming out, lights going up and we are setting up the video gear.

that only allows for 11 minuets per game, if they only played 33 games a day.
It will probably be close to double that, if they play any where close to even.

I realize that it is their match, but looking at it from a spectators point of view the earlier the better.

Thanks for getting back to me with an answer,

Eleven minutes per game is a lifetime. The average (figured over many many matches) time per game of ten ball is six minutes. It may be a little longer because of the bigger table but I don't think it will be much more. Figuring that it goes 30-29 for the first day, that is 354 minutes, or 5.9 hours.

Shane and Corey's match took about 15 hours (partly because Shane crushed him). Shane vs Alex (Action Challenge 3) went 100-94 and took just about 21 hours which is about 7 hours a day, and the first day they both played pretty bad compared to their normal.

I would be surprised if each day's play isn't over by 2 at the latest.

okay, we will have to wait & see.

Look forward to meeting you there.

I will be up front, probably wearing a red shirt & sporting a grey beard.

Any chance of a discount on the DVD if we buy the stream as well? I plan on ordering both so I'm just wondering.

Thanks and good luck this weekend!

This should be great! Earl sounds good and it looks like the SBE mess is behind him, as it should be. The photo of the balls in the pocket looks really tight (4"?) but the pockets look to be cut pretty generous. In the video, at the 1:00 mark, Earl cuts a long nine ball to the corner and it looks like (to me) it brushes the rail above the first diamond but still goes in. Or am I hallucinating?
:p

I was about to ask the same thing. I know I won't be able to watch the entire live stream, but I also would prefer not to pay full price for both the stream and the DVD. A package deal would be splendid.

Same question here.

Are you considering blu-ray?

I don't watch DVD's or Streams, can I get them to come to my house and play the match whenever I would like to watch a few racks? And is it cheaper if I buy the Stream and the DVD anyway?
