TAR 20 Promo Pictures and Video

I was about to ask the same thing. I know I won't be able to watch the entire live stream, but I also would prefer not to pay full price for both the stream and the DVD. A package deal would be splendid.

I certainly would be far more apt to buy the package if there were a discount involved; but either way, I'm buying something, so... heh.

Looking for a deal

hey jcin,

if i am going to the match & thinking about the live stream can i ge the dvd for free, huh, can i, can i?

Slim

I understand people wanting a package deal. There are two reasons why we don't do it. One is simple logistics. People say "Just keep a list of who buys" but its more complicated than that. Trying to keep straight all the people who use their brothers/wifes/moms/buddies paypal/credit cards to pay with would be a complete nightmare. Leading to pissed off customers and me kicking puppies.

The other reason is when I buy a UFC PPV and then I go to the store and want the DVD I don't take it to the counter at Wal Mart and say "I bought this PPV 2 months ago, what kinda deal you gonna give me?" yeah I know apples and oranges but I believe the theory to be valid.

If you come to the match live, buy all the TAR staff's booze for the entire weekend and drive us home at night I will give you 10% off the DVD and you can take Earl home with you.

"on this table, the women go away and the children can't win...this is a man's sport!!!" CLASSIC!!!!!!!

Earl does look extremely focused for this match but I honestly think it is a storm he can't weather!!!!!!!!!!!;)

Gonna be a great one anyway...see you all on the PPV!!!

I don't think even Mars could back you guys for all your booze. You're crew is just too big :)

I am smart enough to know I don't even want to try!!!

Plus I don't know what would be worse trying to get all these drunks home after an open bar or having to take Earl back to my house!

BTW I talked to Shane yesterday and he said it is the toughest table he has EVER played on!

The link purchase the PPV for all three days is up now on our home page at www.theactionreport.com

The links for the two and one day packages will go up on the afternoons of the respective days.

I just wanted to thank TAR and congratulate them.

Each TAR production, especially the challenge matches, have just become more and more professional. The advertisement videos and the pictures are top notch productions within themselves, let alone with all of the other things that need to be done to keep a match like this in place.

Justin and the TAR team are there a week ahead of time, coordinating and promoting this event. They love the sport and are doing what they can to promote it, so support these guys so we can continue to see top notch pool entertainment. Or we as the pool community have to rest our hopes on ESPN...

This is one hell of an epic match on a table many of us have never seen played on by professionals. I am going to be there to watch every minute of it. You should be too. You may never have an opportunity to see this type of match again.

I agree SUPPORT TAR - I already bought the match and I will miss most of Friday for a date with my wife. I guess she is worth giving up part of one Friday pool night a year:thumbup::thumbup: but only one the other 51 are for pool;);)

I'm sure there are a few of us old farts on here that played or watched 14.1 on a 5 x 10 table, but I don't think there are very many that have seen 10-ball played on one by top players...I know I have never saw 10-ball played on a 5 x 10. I say the guy with the younger eyes wins it. Johnnyt

Let's see, Earl is taking on the two best players in America back to back. Wonder if he is trying to prove anything?
If he wins one out of two it will be an achievement and if he wins them both, it will be awesome. But on the other hand, if he loses both these matches (which is what I expect to see), then he will have only proven that he ain't got it anymore. Pretty tall order for the Pearl, trying to recapture old glory.

By the way, I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is. I'll bet even money that Shane and Johnny both win. If Earl wins either match I lose. Any takers?

Jay, you got balls.

To bet with you, I'd need some...like twenty-three of them...to be distributed however I wish...

We got action?

Best,
Brian kc

I have to disagree, losing to the two best american players doesnt mean you dont have it anymore it just means that you arent the best player in america anymore but with his recent resurgence he is definately top five which aint to shabby. Hes beaten Rodney Morris the last two times they played recently and Dennis Hatch.

Just want to throw my 2 cents in since this is a major part of history that most of us won't even realize we were apart of until later down the road..

1. I hope shane beats the dog sh*t out of him. I know it probably won't happen like that but after what happened at SBE and hearing the different stories that were in that thread, I find it very hard to side with early about anything anymore.

2. I just think it's kind of funny to hear earl in the interview talk about weathering through the frustrations and the challenges this table is going to provide. The irony of hearing him talk about that is crazy because we all know he's not known for doing such things.

Regardless, should be interesting to watch.

Paksat;

I agree with you to a point on this.

While I was definitely disappointed with Earl's behavior at SBE (and previous episodes, as well), I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that much, or at least some of his bad acting is to do with medical problems.

I know it's very speculative but the things we see him doing are so far from normal that I believe it's reasonable to think illness is causing much of it.

If this is the case, it's hard for me to be an Earl hater.

Best,
Brian kc

Tar

TAR; I first met you guys live during the "tornado weekend" at Side Pockets in KC @ Schmidt/Harriman and have watched most every live stream since then...THANKS!!!

I love the game, lol. FYI, I have played many times on the 10 foot Brunswick "Big Bertha" at Raytown Rec, (KC metro) and have alway"I'll' play ya' somethin' cheap - what ya givin' up?-....... damn fools'.

SVB vs Earl on a 10 footer is a very intriguing match-up. See ya online.
