Tar #35

I vote for the TarSchool race to 100 Orcullo - SVB A real wild west shoot out. That's the only way we can possibly see the big swings like the first Alex/Shane match.

After TAR 34 Efren offered to play Shane in an all around of one pocket, 9 ball and rotation. An Efren's Choice All Around I guess you could call it. He's not sure when he's coming back to the US but thats something I would like to do.

Dennis Orcollo is coming to the U.S. in June and wants a match so there is that. Only thing is if Efren comes it will be at the same time so as usual when it rains it pours. I havent to talked to either guy about playing each other so I dont know if that could happen or not. Not sure what game or games they would play.

If Mike wants to play Shaw on TAR we would do that at some point if Jason is interested. It would all come down to scheduling.

There is the Alex/Shane All Around out there as well.

Something I talked to Shane about was doing a one pocket only match with Efren. Two out of three sets. He is open to it but I havent asked Efren since he left. Its an interesting match I think.

Right now I'm looking to do TAR 35 the first or second weekend in June. Lots of options out there just comes down to details and scheduling. Bonus Ball will be going on then so it cuts down on some options but Efren/Dennis/Shane/Mike/Alex are not in it so there are some interesting opportunities.

Something that keeps sticking in my mind is Dennis and Shane playing playing ten ball two out three races to 27. They played an all around last time and I think a straight 10 ball match with those two would be fun to do. I considered an old school race to 100 but I think that format turns off as many people as it interests.

Someone had brought up the possibility of a doubles match, like Shane & Archer vs Appleton & Melling, or whomever, is that still being considered?

I like the idea of the doubles match but it comes down to numbers. The costs for players double and I do not think the revenue generated by the novelty of a doubles match would offset it.

I still want to do a partners match or ring game for Nasty. Things have been busy so far this year and I have not been able to put all the moving parts together yet. I thought about just putting up $5000 added for a ring game, charging $1000 entry and see what happens. There are a million details that would have to be worked out but I want to come up with something we can do every year in Nasty's name.

I'd like to see Thorsten Hohmann on TAR, all around 8ball, 10ball, straight pool. He can compete with anybody I think.

That would be killer. I'll always buy regardless of what you guys do, but mixing it up a bit is always welcome.

I sent you a PM a few days ago regarding the first 20 minutes of the 8-ball? Is that footage lost forever?

Not sure what you mean. Far as I know nothing was missed. In one of the sets I forgot to stop recording during the break so there was an extra twenty minutes in the loop.

Justin I hope the Tar #35 is going to be Alex vs Shane with the same format as #33 & #34. Do we have to vote on it or is it already setup? You got my Vote !!!!!!! Regards Rocky P.S #33 and #34 are by far the 2 best matches so far!!!!

Actually we like to see a mini tournament between SVB, Dennis O, Bust, and Alex, Efren too if he wants, 10 ball alternate break, and one pocket only, i would not do 8 ball.

TAR should only broadcast players that where pool for them is their main job not a secondary hobby. I would love to see good snooker players compete with SVB..

Oh, haha I totally misunderstood what you said on the stream. I thought you meant you didn't start a local recording of the stream until 20 minutes in, because you forgot to hit record on the break.

Anyway, that was a top notch event! The HD streaming was beautiful and the 1-pocket was out of this world. Thanks very much and looking forward to more!

JCIN, I'm not convinced of the idea of 2 sets out of 3, I really still like the old school of long races, to 100 or to 120, first day first o 30, second day first to 70, third day until the end of match to 100. This way you guarantee the audience of having 3 days of watching great game of pool.

The only con of 2 sets out of 3 that I see and experienced in the past was that, if a player wins two sets in the first 2 days, then the 3rd day is cancelled and there will be no new pool to watch, of course we will see the first 2 days in a loop, but I think we were signing up for watching pool for 3 days first time we bought the stream as a package, as in a 40 or 50 bucks for 3 days of two legends playing pool. I know it kinda bummed me the last 2 times I wanted to see a match for 3days that only turn out to be 2days due to Shane finishing them off quickly.

Just my thoughts.

Male/Female doubles would be interesting, although in that case the woman will have a TON of pressure on her not to mess up, because you know everyone will be waiting for that.

I'd like to see this go down.

I wanna see a race to 100 10ball!!!!!

Shane vs Dennis race to 100 ten ball or Shane vs Efren long set of one pocket. Either one of these matches would be great!

I don't recall ever seeing Rodney Morris in a TAR match. He is playing great this year and I heard his is often in Vegas. WHy not match him up with somebody?

One pocket

I think Efren vs Svb a long race to one pocket over 3 days maybe to 25 or something like that do it the same way as you did 10ball race to 9 first night 18 the second then finish it to 25.

I would be most interested in seeing, in descending order:

Shane vs. Efren 3 days of 1p
Shane vs. Alex All-round
SVB vs. Frost 3 days of 1p
SVB vs. Orcollo Oldschool Race to 100 10b
Efren vs. Dennis/Busty/Alcano 15-ball Rotation
Shaw vs. Dechaine 10b Best 2 of 3 sets
