We are very excited to officially announce the second Action All Around. Danny Harriman will be defending his Action All Around Title against the man he defeated to win it, John Schmidt. John has been anxious to get back in the ring and take another shot at Danny and we have finally put it together.

The week before the BCA starts in Vegas we will be at Side Pockets in north Kansas City getting things stirred up for a great weekend of pool and action. The good times will start on Thursday night May 1st with a $1000 ring game on a 9 foot Diamond Pro Am. We are looking for 6 players and will pay the top 2, we havent finalized the details on the game yet but we will probably do it like our other ones where the players race to 13 or some other number of games versus the escalating bet system where guys are put out. This way everyone has a shot all the way till the end. If you are interested contact Chad at chad@theactionreport.com he is putting the ring game together and will be able to give you the scoop.

On Friday May 2nd, the Main Event kicks off. Both guys are putting up a $10,000 entry fee. It will be just like the first match, Day 1 is 14.1 to 400 points for $6600, Day 2 is 1 Pocket race to 10 for $6600 and Day 3 is 10 Ball race to 30 for $6800. There is a stipulation that if they split the first 2 sets then they will play the 10 ball for all the money. $20,000. This is what happened in the first Action All Around where Danny's margin of victory was 1 game of 1 Pocket and 2 games of 10 Ball.

The event is being hosted by Side Pockets in Kansas City which owned by AZ member, huge pool supporter and all around great guy James "Duff" Doran. Duff sponsored Danny in the first Action All Around at the Qlympics and is going to run it back in his own room come May 2nd. We want to thank Duff for all of his support for TAR and for working with us to get this event to go off. He has graciously given us access to his room and went out of his way to help us. Oh yeah....he just ordered 2 brand new Diamond 9 foot Pro-AM's for Side Pockets as well, so there will be an extra brand new table for all you road dogs out there to do something on. :D

After our great experience at Shooters last weekend we are hoping to turn these events into a mini jamboree where everyone comes out to see and take part in the action before and during the main event. Last week we had some great action and even more good times for 5 days leading up to the main event. If you are around KC or on the way to Vegas stop in to Side Pockets April 31-May 4. I guarantee you will have a good time.

Here is the event flyer. There is a printable PDF file on our home page. It is underneath the flyer at www.theactionreport.com

You guys are AMAZING! A real credit to the sport.

JCIN,

I was wondering if I could have your permission to download the flyer for this event. I run the Fast Eddie's 9 Ball Tour along with other independent events with ironman and would like to get the word out about what you guys do at our events.

Email me a copy at fasteddies9ball@satx.rr.com if it is okay.

These matches are simply freakin great and I hope they catch on to more players. They're very entertaining and I think its more of a battle that helps display our sport in a better light.

Hats off to everyone involved with it and good luck to both players.

I sent you the PDF. Thanks for your help, getting our info in front of people in the pool rooms is a big deal. We appreciate it.

If anyone else would like to print the flyer out I have a PDF available to download on our site. Just right click on the flyer on the home page and "Save target as" and it will save the PDF. Any and all help is appreciated.

You just might. A little birdy told me that Dan Tull is thinking about doing the $3000 entry ring game tournament again in July. A lot of top players have told us they are gonna make it out to Olathe this year for a shot at that $22,000 that McMinn won last year (Will be more this year, Dan is talking of adding money and is confident he will fill the field)

I am excited for this match. It is going to kick off one hell of a road trip for us. After these two get done we go to Vegas for the BCAPL 8 Ball Nationals to set up the TAR PIT and do Frost/Appleton and Shane/Alex back to back over 6 days then 4 days of stirring up action and event coverage. Lot of action in May. See you in Vegas.

Congratulations,I hope to be there, but if i can't make it, will it be available on CD?I am thinking of something like this and would appreciate a call from you.
best wishes,
dean

I just wanted to say thanks TAR for everything you guys are doing for the sport that we all love. This match should be everything it was the first time and then Frost/Appleton and Shane/Alex WOW!! I can't wait till May gets here.

Thanks

Thanks again TAR for making available good action for those of us that can't be there. I can't believe your doing it all for just $25. Keep us the good work and I wish you continued success.

Best of luck with the new all around TAR guys, hope it all runs smoothly for you.

Awesome!! Good job putting this back together. Hey this time keep the glove off of John and I bet it is a closer match. :)
