TAR Website question

Hey Azbilliards,

I recently placed an sizable order on TAR website about a week ago. I made the payment but never recieved a confirmation email / shipping notice. Anyone else having trouble, know of issues, or am I just being impatient?

I attempted to email through the site to ask about this but haven't recieved a response from that source either.

I have seen a lot of aggression & finger pointing done on here and I want to clarify something first...(tiny lol), I am in no way trying to make TAR look negative in anyway and I love what they are doing for Pool. Just reaching out in an attempt to satisfy my need to watch more pool. :D

Respectfully

I'm in a similar situation: I've ordered couple of months ago and haven't received my package. Justin has said that they have problems with international shipping. That said, it would be nice if it was possible to contact someone from TAR with these orders. I've emailed the address mentioned on the site and haven't received a reply.

Maybe the person who handles that is overwhelmed with orders and is trying to keep up.

It is frustrating to pay for something, wait, and then wonder when it is coming, if it is coming, how is it coming, why isn't it coming.

I had a similar experience with QVC recently. Fortunately, with QVC, I can pick up the phone and talk to a human in customer service. QVC is a huge operation, but they incur shipping problems too. It doesn't matter whether you're big or small. There is always going to be a small percentage of orders that encounter difficulties.

I do notice you both are from overseas. I'll bet that has something to do with the delay.

Speaking as a chief cook and bottle washer myself, it is difficult to wear multiple hats when trying to run a business. I hope you get your product soon or at least a reply as to its status. :)

Well...My address is an APO. is ships just as if it were within the United States. If I have to wait a couple months, I would really just like to cancel my order. lol. Nothing against them. I completely agree that running a business/website is no picnic. but again, when money is involved, (and I spent quite a bit for my paycheck size.lol) everyone puckers a little. Thats why I reached out to the perfect forum! :D

Again, I ask if anyone either from TAR or who is more familiar with those guys can provide input or assistance. It would be apprecaited. Thanks again for the responses guys.

Just got discouraged now that i placed an order on TAR and cant get in touch with em. Looks like Im not the only one in the boat though. I dont really wanna wait 3+ months before it becomes an issue.

One of my daughters moved to Sedona recently, so I will probably be coming out that way at least once a year. I want to stop in Phoenix and see all my buddies there as well.

Posting after 1 week is a little quick. When I order something from anywhere, I give em two weeks (unless I paid extra to get it quick) before I ask any questions.

Generally speaking, I agree that one week is a little quick.

Speaking in regards to TAR orders of late, it is understandable. I'm familiar with the TAR operation & have vehemently preached patience to folks in the past for what really is an unacceptable time frame because I realize Justin is the merchandise guy and that he is ridiculously busy, esp during times like this past May. Justin was very busy the whole month of May and then followed that with a much deserved vacation.

Simply put, Justin needs to have someone taking care of the orders. Posts like this used to be few & far between with many people like myself telling folks to be patient and then shortly after that, Justin would make things right with the customer. There have been too many posts like these of late to simply tell people to be patient.

I know, you know, and many others know that Justin/TAR is not out to take their money & run. People that don't know the folks involved at TAR don't know that. If Justin isn't going to find someone that can handle the TAR store in a more timely manner, he should at least put a disclaimer on the website advising folks that they could have extensive wait times depending on the customers location (over seas) or if TAR is out covering an event (Vegas in May).

It's been my experience with them that while they may be somewhat slow sometimes, they allways deliver the goods.

I think you have to remember that a lot of the time they are on the road or covering pool.

They're decent people and if you happen to remind them about your order (after a reasonable wait) they are quick to respond and bend over backwards to make sure you get your product.

Carl thank you for your order. You should have received a confirmation email from pay pal as well as from our store when you placed the order. These are automated responses. Sometimes spam filters get them and they end up in junk folders. Sometimes the Internet seems to eat them

Your order went out this morning via USPS Priority Mail. When I saw the shipping address I grabbed a box and put TAR stuff in it until it was full. I hope you enjoy it and thank you for your service.

I am about 98% sure I refunded your order a few weeks ago. I have started refunding all international orders and started after your email I think. Unless i know the person from past transactions we are not doing international anymore. We have had such bad luck it just isn't worth it anymore. Please pm me your name and the pay pal address and I will get you squared away.

Since about a month ago there is a big statement on the front page of the store that says it can take up to 4 to 6 weeks for shipping.

I want to outsource the whole store. We are looking around and have talked to one large retailer already. Something will change.

My apologies. Since the OP had posed their question a week after ordering, I assumed that there was no statement like that on the website.

I wasn't knocking you and if it came across that I way, I sincerely apologize. I have the utmost respect for you as a person and for you as a business man. I just hate to see people that don't know you get the wrong idea about you/TAR.

Justin, Thanks and I appreciate it very very much. TAR is awesome and I look forward to seeing you guys expand and bring Billiard Action to more and more DVDs and Internet.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks again
Carl

Like Justin, I've had problems with international orders on more than one occasion. Even shipping to Canada can present problems. There is no definitive way to track your shipment or protect it either. Both the seller and the buyer are taking their chances. I've had about a 90% success rate shipping overseas. That means about one in ten orders run into some kind of problem en route. I can fully understand why Justin would chose to no longer ship internationally.

Domestically the success rate on shipments is better than 99%, for a comparison. Maybe about 99.8% successful deliveries.
