TWo carats of dimonds twice as many rubies , 6 points 3 ivory 3 ebony, ivory joint, over sized ivory buttcap .PRETTY BIG TASCARELLA HERE ALSO.
Old delrin buttcap in photo ,all ivory now from pete. Ringr are white gold also.

WE WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT THAT NEW IVORY BUTTCAP YESTERAY..... I'M SURE IT REALLY HELPS SET THAT CUE OF.

THIS ONE IS VERY BIG, AND THERE ARE SOME VERY VERY BIG ONES THAT NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT. SO, I DON'T THINK ANYONE CAN DECLARE A CHAMP. I THINK MANY PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OWN IDEAS OF WHAT MAKES A CUE "BIG". FOR SOME IT'S PRECIOUS METALS, FOR SOME IT'S RARE STONES, TO OTHERS IT'S RARITY AND PROVENENCE.

Yes It Is

I believe it's the only one the Tascarella's have made to date. I'll have better shots of the ivory buttcap soon.

If there is a bigger Tascarella cue out there in terms of number of inlays than mine (120), I'd sure like to see it, and I've yet to see one or hear about the existence of one.

I'M NOT LOOKING FOR AN ARGUMENT, BUT I DO ENJOY THEM SO HERE WE GO.

LIKE I WROTE BEFORE..... "I THINK MANY PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OWN IDEAS OF WHAT MAKES A CUE "BIG". FOR SOME IT'S PRECIOUS METALS, FOR SOME IT'S RARE STONES, TO OTHERS IT'S RARITY AND PROVENENCE."

DID I SAY ANYTHING ABOUT NUMBER OF INLAYS?

YOUR CUE TO ME IS VERY NICE, AND IT DOES HAVE ALOT OF INLAYS. BUT, IMO IT CAN'T BE CALLED "THE UNDISPUTED CHAMP". SOME PEOPLE MAY FEEL THAT IT IS, BUT I'M ALSO SURE THAT THERE ARE OTHERS THAT DON'T FEEL THAT WAY.

I THOUGHT I HAD COVERED MYSELF WITH MY QUOTED STATEMENT ABOVE, BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG.

P.S. THE "UNDISPUTED CHAMP" OF BALABUSHKA CUES, HAS VERY FEW INLAYS IN IT.

BUT, IF YOU JUST WANT TO GO BY NUMBER OF INLAYS, YOU CAN COUNT ALL THOSE VENEERS THAT ARE INLAID INTO THESE BARS.

P.S. IT'S WAY MORE THAN 120 STACKED PIECES OF VENEER.

All Pete's cues are "BIG" IMO but it's not always about the amount of inlays for me........but if you're counting mine has enough plus a tone of ivory and a piece from George B. Pete included in it as well to make this one a contender as well.................at least in my eyes :)............enjoy....like i do all the Pete's works............

TIM, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LIKE THIS ONE.......GREAT CUE.

I'LL TRY TO GET YOU PICS OF MY NEW ONE TOMORROW, BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE ALOT OF HOLES. SO IT CAN'T BE THAT BIG, I GUESS.

just counted and your's including the prong work, minus the silver or gold rings themselves... has 136 inlays if i'm not mistaken.........mine has 172..............don't forget the four sided veneered diamonds in the sleeve of my cue...................this is fun.......... :)

Pete made me a third shaft with the same ferrules and tips he plays with and even though i've only dry hit with it it's just as it should be.......tight!.....i'm trying to clear some time from my schedule to get to the show in 2 months with my partner Keith Josey but i'm not sure it's gonna happen...if i can swing it you'll be one of the first to know. i'd love to hang out and get our two cues together for better pics........as long as they behave....... :)

That design is my favourite amongst all the Tascarella cues I have seen so far.
I like pretty much all of them but my heart always skips a beat or two when I see such a hoppe Tasc.

Edit: oh, and the other favourite is the fifth cue from right on the first picture (the group shot).
I remember that I couldn't believe it when I first saw one that looked almost the same but had dark rings between the white ones. Marcus, can you enlighten me if this is the same cue as the one in the 3rd edition?

Me too. Marcus is getting tired of me. But I would take his Hoppe cues first out of all of them. Pete does them better than anyone....and thats saying something.

The top pic, 3rd cue from the left is the absolute nuts for me. The new one is another that deserves another look.

Congratulations my friend, and thanks for all of your contributions, you make AZ a better place.

Ken

Marcus: thank you for clearing that up for me, I didn't know that! It is very-very interesting. What a sight would that be to have all three laying next to each other.

As for selling it as a Balabushka... I can understand that easily as well as I have read many times that Tascarella cues were (and are?) sold occasionally as Balabushkas - due to known reasons. I wonder if there were any Balabushka cues built without points.

Ken: I can assure you that although I am not endangering Marcus' collection in any ways (I am nowhere near to owning any of these cues, not even the simplest one) but I could be tiring him all day long with my questions regarding the cues that were posted here. ...maybe one day I'll acquire a Hoppe:thumbup:

I think the best looking Tasc is mine, and it is with out a doubt the BIGGEST Tasc ever if precious metals are the standard by the "Biggest" is measured. But who cares??? I dont. I only made that statment to discredit its value, its meaningless to have the (what ever) enjoy a cue for what it is not where it ranks. There are some GREAT cues on this thread for sure. Instead of compairing the biggest and most lets enjoy what we have and be happy that we atleast are blessed enough to have even one great cue-some guys here dont..

Personally I couldnt careless where any of my cues are on the "biggest/best/rarest" ladder to me collecting cues isnt a contest, if It was I would have a whole lot more cues and not enjoy each of them as much. It would be impossible to if I dumped a million $$$ into cues(and I could), I couldnt remember what I owned. It would be a numbers game and to me that ruins the whole concept of collecting. How would Barry feel if I had a masterpiece he made me get lost for 10 years in the vault and I forgot about it?? thats horrilbe, and so is making collecting a contest. Right Steve??
