I just got this back from Scot at Proficient Billiards......As usual he did a great job. This model is my favorite Palmer, with the titlist points.

In the gold foil window it says "Teddy Bear Original by Palmer"

Beautiful cue. I assume second catalog, Model D? One thing, that's a strange green veneer for a Titlist blank. To my knowledge, they were sort of an aqua green rather than what looks like a forest green on this cue. Any background on that?

I had to replace the forearm as the orignal forearm was warped. So while it has titlist colored veneers, it is not an actual titlist forearm.

I thought so. Great looking cue nonetheless, somebody went to a lot of effort on that cue.

Hopefully this comes out right, but probably not.

I think this is a great looking cue, and that folks could have this cue for the same price as what people are paying for Meucci, or Predator cues.

IMO crazy to buy a production cue.

Checkers sell more than chess I suppose.

Here's "Teddy Bear" Wilson on the bottom right photo. I am handing him the trophy. He came in third place in the MD State Championship in 1986. We used to see him at the horse racetrack from time to time. I'm not sure if this is the cue of the Teddy Bear from Maryland.

I don't think this cue belonged to Teddy Bear Wilson. I found this on Google:

"In the 1960s–70s, Palmer cues were already known as some of the finest production cues ever made. Players began calling this model the Teddy Bear because it looked soft and friendly, but it could absolutely kill you."
