im ordering felt for my 8ft table and i dont know what to get.. people reccomended the simonis 860.. i usually play 8 ball and 9 ball.. would this be a good cloth for me? hows it compare to the 760??
RiverCity said:860 is a bit slower than the 760. 760 is usually reserved for carom, snooker tables etc.... or people who like a very, very fast cloth. If you are not used to the 860, it too will seem extremely fast to you at first compared to nap style cloths.
All in all, the 860 should wear better, and have a bit longer life than the 760.

I have used others and honestly they arent as good.
Simonis is worth the extra bucks.

Simonis 300 is designed for and better choice for carom tables.By the way, 760 is not used on billiard or snooker tables. It is too slow for billiard tables, and WAY too fast for snooker tables. Snooker tables have very thick cloth on them.

mechanic/player said:The tighter it is the better it plays as well as lasts longer so I have to dissagree with this, when mechanics install 860,760,3030 or any fast cloth loose it's because they cant work with it when it's tight.
