Terry is making progress on the physical side of things with daily in home physical therapy. He can get in and out of bed using a walker for balance and gets around the house a little with a cane. He still has a long ways to go and since he hasn't did much since the surgery in April it is going to take awhile to build strength.

He still has a PIC system in and daily injections of antibiotic through there I believe. The PIC is coming out the sixth of next month and they will evaluate the status of the infection then. Some possibility of having to do open surgery again.

Terry wanted to be sure that I thanked everybody for him. The prayers and thoughts mean a bunch and he is still blown away that we pitched in to get him a laptop to get him back online. Things have been hectic and he doesn't have the machine yet. I need some help spec'ing it out and then his wife or I will order it or she will pick it up locally.

I'll be gone until late evening so I won't be replying to posts before tonight. A very sincere thank you to everyone from me too. It is huge the way the forum came together for Terry.

Thanks

Thanks Hu for the update. Terry, keep building your strength we want to hear from you when you are ready.

Keep up your spirits, Terry, and know that there are many here pulling for you.

It seems hard to believe, but a positive attitude has a significant impact on recovery, so keep it positive.

Terry, I hope you are doing fine?!....we are'nt that far apart....if you ever need anything, just ask...

Just a reminder

The well wishes are great and I'll probably read them to Terry the next time we talk, usually in a few days or a week. However, Terry won't get to see them or respond until we get him a laptop. His PC is in the basement and he is still a long ways from being able to negotiate stairs.

He did ask that I post for him thanking everybody earlier. I don't think there is anyone more sincerely appreciative of others than Terry is.

Thanks to All,
Hu

Don't know if this is too late for you but you might want to consider the following ergonomic thing.

I hate laptops with the earphone and other jacks on the FRONT of them. This makes them very difficult to use as a LAPtop.

So you may want to think about that and make sure that the jacks are on the side which makes it easy to use the laptop in bed or on a table.
