i just wanted to mention while im near a computer thank you to a few people.

with the derby approaching i thought i should mention some things.

this is not just me saying this trust me.

this is coming from the players ,greg sullivan and many others.

first of all for those who dont realize this, bob jewett has put up 10,000 of his own money for the last few years.

he puts on the 14.1 challenge and makes no money off it, only loses 10,000 so ding dongs like me have a chance to make some money and showcase 14.1.

bob im not eloquent enough to thank you properly through words for what you have done but im going to try anyway.

thank you from the bottom of my heart you are one of a kind and the other players appreciate what you do for us even if they are a little shy telling you thanks sometimes.

i also would like to mention guys like fatboy, jay helfort for their time and money that they basically donate for the good of the game and entertainment of the fans.

while im at it talking about fans.

thank you for supporting pool without you people, guys like me would still be delivering pizza. trust me ive done that job and i like playing pool much more for a living.lol

i notice you fans in the crowd year after year and sometimes us players get so caught up trying to make a living we forget to chat with you or say hi.

please remember we need you alot more than you need us and if we are lucky you will be around for many years as fans and friends.

thanks everybody take care

Well said, John! I have always thought you were a class act and by the way, a few years ago at DCC, although you don't know me, you were quite willing to chat and be friendly to a fan.

Thank you Bob, Jay, and FatBoy for all you do for the love of the game.

Thank you John for the many hours of enjoyment we fans have got from you over the years. Watching you win the US Open and many, many more tournaments. Watching you on TAR in action is always a thrill for most of us. You all are class acts. Johnnyt

This is what we've come to expect from John......

Nothing but a class act.

Good luck at the derby John.

Bob gets my vote as top poster in the main forum. If I had to sum him up in one word it would be class and knowledge. Two words I mean. If I had to sum Bob up in two words it would be class, knowledge and patience. Three words. If I had to sum Bob up in three words it would be class, knowledge, patience, and a ruthless dedication to the Pope. Four. Among Bob's attributes are, class.....

I have always respected Bob Jewitt for his amazing knowledge and insight of the game. I now have even more respect for him as a person for REALLY promoting the game on his own dime. Thanks Bob for your dedication to the great sport.

Thanks to John for posting this thread, and giving credit where it is surely due. By the way, what is your current high run? I haven't heard a recent number and was wondering what it is now. Good luck for continued success.

When I first fell in love with pool I read all of Robert Byrne's books and watched his videos. Robert always mentioned Bob Jewett as a reference of vast knowledge.

When I joined the forums and saw that Bob Jewett posted on here I was starstruck.

Amazing posts.

He was instrumental in getting three cushion events with the worlds best coming to the US also. Spent his own dough getting that to happen to.

I think if he continues to support pool like he has in the past, he should someday be considered for a Hall Of Fame nomination in that same way that Pat Fleming was honored for supporting the game.

Well said John. Pool is fortunate to have passionate people like Bob, and we're glad John Schmidt is doing so well!

I'm sure everybody would say Ditto to this!

Good summary!

Regards,
Dave (also thankful for Bob)

From my few years posting on pool forums it's been clear that Bob is among the short list of the people who give most to the pool world. He's a class act.

And by the way.. so are you John... your work has brought much enjoyment into my life.

TAP, TAP, TAP!

I always read Bob's column and his insight on this site are terrific.

Peer, great video. Where is that pool room? That is an awesome looking room.

Thanks

Thank you John for taking the time to post something for the public. Very well said!

Thanks Bob for all the knowledge and insight you've provided me through the years

A big thanks to Bob for all he has done to keep straight pool alive and for all the other things he does to keep many of the other pool games alive. And thanks for all the articles he has written.

John - a Big thumbs up to you for thinking of Bob and others and the fans.

Oh, thank you -- but please realize that this video (along with all my other YouTube videos) are just some silly stuff not shot with my hi-end camera. The pool hall is Shoreline Billiards in Mountain View, CA. It's where Bob hangs out.
