Thanks to Bigtruck and Championship Cloth, Johnny Archer can F&^% off

and some people who have ZERO stake in it - try to HELP. on JAN 12. for a 60-day lead time.

it's unfortunate that the OP didn't get his purchase timely.
it's unfortunate that the OP didn't get his promised "something-extra".
it's unfortunate that JA & BH didn't say thank you, to all involved, herein.
it's unfortunate that JA isn't making a statement to clarify all doubt(s).

but this is business & reputation is everything nowadays.

and it's fantastic that BigTruck is getting signatures for the other 2 claims.

I agree about people who weren't involved. I kept my comments all to myself, and didnt appreciate people who werent a part of it inciting shit. Once it was over, I felt like I needed to thank Big Truck. I also thought once completed as one of the people involved I would give my take. I am sure JA is a great guy. Has always been in everything I have seen. This is prob why I was so dissapointed/upset. Im sure I owe him an apology, as he is great for the sport. The other part is that I felt quite upset that I purchased something and the only feedback I get is from Bigtruck, and he had to do everything. I really really appreciate him and will be buying his streams from now on. If I can't watch, Ill buy them for someone else.

Like I said, all is great now, but how much longer would I have been in no where land if it wasn't for Ray?

I'm not defending JA, I'm saying it's become too commonplace on this forum for these threads to smear people. Some people do deserve it, because they set out to screw people from the get go. However even in those threads, people who have ZERO stake in the situation jump in and take sides and talk smack just to be talking smack. It is the dogpile, mob mentality.
Johnny has a known track record of as JAM worded it bending over backwards for people. All I'm saying that should be considered. If you don't think so, then so be it. Your call.
At some point down the road, if JA comes through, I'll look forward to reading the other common AZ forum flip flop thread where Johnny is back to being a good guy, and everybody being glad he came forward to fix it.

It's BS that you never received what was owed but what is really some froggernockle BS is that it was done with Buddy's name attached to it.... Buddy is a stand up guy with a stellar reputation, he's simply good people. If this were the other way around with Buddy soliciting to help Johnny out you would have received the items post haste.

Really? You're going to go with that? You and I both know better, regarding Buddy. He's responsible for one of the most disgraceful acts a pool player has ever committed.

just saying I would be pissed too.... greenies for Big Truck on trying to make everything right which I'm sure is taking a lot of his personal time to do. I've never met JA but have to say that it seems from what I've gleemed if there isn't something for him in it or a chance to gloat about how good he is then he isn't for it. I could be wrong but certainly appears like that from the peanut gallery..

He might very well have a valid reason for not delivering.

JA didn't mind making a thread soliciting donations on Buddies behalf.

If it were just a simple mistake, it would have been common courtesy to make another thread to explain or apologize for late shipping.

Seems that there was no valid reason other than after he had the money, he didn't care.

There was another person that didn't receive exactly what they paid for either so this one is not an isolated case.

Sure, the usual people come to the defense of the Pros. I'm sure they are not all like that either.

What is it that lately, the members of AZB just get to see the bad side.

Some of these characters are not only making it bad for themselves in the future, but also making it doubly hard for an Honest Pro to ask for a leg Up in the future as well.

And people wonder why we paint them all with a Broad Brush.

Because time and time again, that is all we see and experience.

Players like JA ET Al, seem to think that we have short memories.

You are assuming (like most of us on AZB) that they care one wit what we think. We've got about 3 or 4 pros that post, maybe a few more that lurk...the rest are too busy playing or doing business to come on here unless they need to solicit something.

Yes, really..... Do you know Buddy personally? I do, and he's every bit of the person I said he is. And if the situation was reversed he would have followed thru with fulfilling his obligation.

Not defending his actions at the time, But...nobody's name but Buddys is ever mentioned in what happened. Why not give the whole list of players involved when its mentioned instead of just putting it all on Buddy. It was also like 40 years ago....give it a rest. FYI nowadays Buddy is donating his time in a "play the pro" challenge to benefit the Special Olympics this Saturday in Paducah, Ky.

I agree that Johnny not being more forthcoming is disappointing, but how knows what's going on in his life right now.

According to his fairly recent interview he was going to go to DCC, hang out abit, play in the 9-ball event, figured the 10-ball event was full already.

He certainly did not sound so busy that he could not take care of his business dealings he initiated and did not fulfill his end on things after he got paid.

Archer painted himself as the prime example of an entitled "pro" pool player who thinks the world should give him a living and that he should not need to give anything in return. Not that surprising given the attitude he has had in his APB dealings. With him it is rarely anything but "What can you do for me?" it would seem.

If Mark G is looking for character for the Mosconi Cup team I would suggest he passes on Archer.

I think people (myself included) tend to blame Buddy Hall more than the others for the challenge of champions scandal since he was in the final, and the dump was obvious. If what you are saying about him donating his time to benefit the special olympics is true, maybe its time we cut him a little bit of slack. Also, no one is blaming him for this particular incident.

Its true, i'm running the tournament. This is my 3rd year organizing the Polar Plunge Pool Tournament to benefit the Special Olympics. Feb 8th at noon, Side Pockets, Paducah, Ky. When i talked to him about it he was more than happy to do it. Now if we just don't get anymore darn ice Saturday...

Obviously you are a Bee Keeper John. My late Father, Mom and myself were into that for some time.

Interesting hobby that got way to big and my Father sold out.

Went from a 2 frame hand crank extractor to a motorized 4 frame.

My Dad would cut the wax, I would extract and Mom would be in the kitchen straining and boiling. And I was busy swatting bees that felt the need to sting me.

I'll take a small bee stinger to a Hornet any day of the week.

If you're talking about the Lebron match, I agree it was wrong and damaging to pool, no doubt. However, everyone involved in that should share blame equally, Buddy was the one that had to do the dirty work, and it was ugly.

IMO, people forfeit the right to keeping their name clear of mud the moment they betray their promises.

If he decides to share an apology with or without an explanation as to why he dropped the ball, we take it from there.

As Of the op though, all indications are that he honey badgered the matter.

Kinda like when someone asks what a stick is worth, and a person jumps in and tries to lowball it off them to brag about it another day?

Is that the same kind of stuff that you mean.

I am glad that it worked out for you.

I have heard numerous times how the folks here at AZ are terrible to the pros, and basically terrible folks in general.

What I have found are the folks here bend over backwards, stick up for each other, try to find solutions. I have met several on here, while I traveled around the country and they always have been class acts and make me feel at home when I visit.

I have noticed when Johnny and other pros come on AZ they are looking for something, instead of giving something, expecting nothing in return.

It reminds me of some folks who wait until Grandpa dies and then come in for part of "their" inhertance.

Johnny should really be ashamed of himself. He knows better.

Ken
