I gambled my brains out almost every day the past week. Today I played from 8pm to 5am, 2 different guys. There were a bunch of other games going on simultaneously, including the houseman playing. Sausage egg and biscuit on the drive home at 6am at Wendys.

Its been 20 or more years since I remember it like this.

How is it in your area?

That's awesome.

If I stayed up until 5AM it would take me about a week to recover nowadays.

Good on you. Not
A bad breakfast sandwich too!
I started small stakes gambling a few years ago once my kids were through college. It seems to make me play focused.

I hope you did not have to play on those gastly Diamonds😉

This is still the norm in Houston. Granted there aren't as many pool halls as there used to be, you can still find action every single night of the week. $5-$10 a game, up to $10k sets.

Modest pool hall opened in my city. Six 7’ Diamond. One 9’ Diamond. One 12’ Snooker table. Place is packed every weekend and pretty often on week days. We have a longstanding pool community that participates in leagues and tournaments. The interesting part is the venue mostly fills up with people eager to play pool that are not part of the competitive community. Who would have guessed. People want to play.

Totally jealous here (except for the 8pm-5) Would love to put some hours in. Would enjoy going back to 60's playing partners "Odd Ball" a $.25 a way or 1Ball in the corner a $1.00 a game on a Sat afternoon. 1ball in the corner was a game we played in Phila. Loved it.

Pool is crazy now in the Philippines, specially in the capital of Metro Manila, I know of 10 Pool halls within a 10KM radius from my place, pretty sure there are more that I do not know.....

Pretty consistent action here in LA. $100 rotation sets and $40 a game one-hole every week for me. There’s regular big action in Orange County but it’s above my pay grade.

I plan to be down that way in April. Any particular rooms to visit?

Libertad soccer club in Santa Monica is a one-pocket hub with top notch equipment and players of all skill levels up to pro speed one pocket. Sportsman’s billiards in Crenshaw is also a one pocket hub, not as nice equipment but still decent, lots of knowledgeable players but in a sketchier area. Aloha billiards in Buena Park has good equipment, big rotation action and some one pocket action. If you want a game pm me id be happy to play or set you up with a friendly game. Most of my regular one pocket games are stand-up guys and just looking for a good competitive game not trying to steal or anything.
