Billy it sure would be great to get you up there to do the commentary. I remember watching the Color of Money match over and over and wishing that they had a got you and somebody else besides Mark Wilson and the filipino commentator they had.

You and Jay Helfert would be awesome. Jerry Forsyth would be good as well.

Hopefully something can be worked out to get you guys there.

I second that.

Jay,

You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time. Should't you fit into one of those categories??

If my caculations are right 200 to 160 is 5/4. What ever happened to the 11/10. Your gambling associate, and friend, BillyThe Kid

I think this is a great thing you are doing for pool and I would like to make a suggestion that I think might be interesting.

I think the winner of this match should be crowned the US money champion(as these gentlemen were the first to step up they should have an advantage) and any one who wants to step up and challenge the champ should have to go through the #2 guy first (loser of the initial match), say $10,000 to play the #2 with the winner to play the champion for $15,000.

As people challenge they become a rung on the ladder win or lose and people have to climb over them to get to the champ. If you could manage to fight your way up the ladder over say ten people with a starting match of $2,500 and the next match worth $3,750, then $5,625, then $8,437, then $12,655, then $18,982, then $28,473, then $42,709, then $64,063, then the finals against the champion would be for $96,094(all numbers aproximates I did not round or include decimals).
The players fighting their way up get to keep half of their winnings from each match and half go into challengeing the next person up the ladder, the challenger would have made almost $94,000 by the time he reaches the final match with the champion for a $2,500 investment. If the bottom rung always stays at $2,500 imagine if their were 20, 30, or 40, people what the championship pay out would look like, also anybody on the ladder could challenge the person ahead of them to attempt to move up and any one who doesn't play a challenge match within a six month period forfeits their spot and goes to the bottom of the list.

Just my thoughts, keep up the great work!

Bern

Holy Crap! That sounds amazingly familiar... but no one ever listens to me so its ok... maybe they will listen to you ;)

Sorry, I am still relatively new to the forum woofing that I've come to enjoy so much. Quick question, how do you guys actually pay up? Are you only betting with people in your area? Pay Pal? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Far from it...I actually met you in Jax at the 10-ball championships. I knew that post would get these types of replies. Sorry.

I have been thinking about this match and alot of people are going to go with Corey automatically. The more I think about it I like Shane to get the CASH in this spot. Hometown advantage, he won't get sharked by noise, and I think he wants it more than Corey. If it comes down to the wire i don't think Corey has the heart to take it off. If Corey wins it will be by at least 5 games. If it comes down to a photo finish I think Corey will come up lame in the deep stretch. I also watched the video from Olathe with Corey, Big nasty, Jamie Mcworther and Shane were discussing a game and you people can make your own judgement but if you look again at Coreys and Mcworthers faces they look real nervous and uncomfortable about making a game. It looked like Corey was shaking like a dog shitting razor blades. If the winner wants to come down to South Florida and play some big table 8 ball I will take a nice spotand try these 2 IPTers.

By the way this offer goes to anybody in the country if they want to play some big table 8ball with a decent spot they will get played. All pros, IPTers, BCA champions, Valley, APA, TAP, players and any other horseshit players come get some.
