So I'm watching the nice free stream last night (Thanks OB shafts, CSI and Simonis) having a pretty good time and after Robb Saez missed his third or fourth easy shot I wrote in chat "christ on a crutch I can't take much more of this".

So the chat moderator put me on a five minute "time out" for that. Some kind of Jesus freak in charge there I guess. Was I was supposed to sit in the corner and think about it? I was surprised because I wasn't given a "one, two, three" first. Isn't that what you usually do with small children who can't behave?

Well I'm taking a timeout from the entire rest of the event although I was seriously considering buying the stream until that happened. Go ahead, tell me to grow up and get over it. Nope. Aint gonna do it. I don't do "timeouts" since I turned 50.

I went to Catholic school...then they asked me to stop going!

They shut down the stream right when it was 7-7, a little after Midnight, Central time, not Vegas time. It was only a little after 10 in Vegas. I think they could have left it on until the match was over, I mean it would have been only 3 more games at the most.

I wanted Mills to win, but all the times I have watched him, he chokes. He missed 2 10 balls last night ... lol And he wasn't breaking too good.

I went and gave my baby a bath and didn't return. The way they were playing I probably didn't miss much nor did you when the stream ended.

It's very possible GOD himself was a mod in the chat. First warning is a time out, the next warning is lightning...

As I recall, they did have an outage for a couple minutes, but it came back on to the conclusion of the match.

Unless its SC5 I wouldnt put anyone in a timeout.
Look JC, It wasnt me. Im sorry that happened to you. Its not TARs fault and sounds like someone got carried away. Im not sure who it was.
Mods are important because it gives TAR time away from the stream to do other things but this is a bit over the top. Mods dont work for TAR. Its just a bunch of people who watch the streams regularly to keep chat semi clean. They may have even been trying to joke around with you. Im not sure what happened.
Maybe you could look past this and we can all learn from it. Like I said, TAR puts out great streams and it would be a shame for them to lose business like this.
I totally understand where you are coming from as my biggest annoyance in life is being reprimanded over stupid and irrational things.

I was a mod for a while last night, but I didn't kick or give anyone a timeout. Sorry that it happened, but it shouldn't reflect on TAR and how they run the show. Like Dora said, mods are not paid by TAR.

If it makes you feel any better, you didn't miss anything and you're game is probably better for not having to watch that match, lol.
 
Hi JC,

I agree that you got a raw deal with the time out. Perhaps Justin will pay closer attention to those he lets weild the powers of a mod since it can affect his business.

I am not a Jesus freak, but I do believe he is who he claims to be and it does bother me when people use his name in vain. However, I am sure that I have said and done things he is more concerned about then what you did. :smile:

I was in the chat room and you getting booted had nothing to do with the Christ comment imo. You were being a punk and running your mouth and got put on a time out for it is what I think happened. What, you don't remember telling that Rob guy he sucked and had no chance of being a pro.You basically were attacking the guy for no reason. You had a whole bunch more to say also. And I think Spanky put you on time out. I could be wrong but cook26 was also a mod at the time. If I had the hammer I would have dropped it on you HARD!
 
I was not modding but when I do I try to be fair and if someone is a trouble maker they get a warning unless it really crosses that line then they get smashed. I think people need to police themselves more often and the world would be a better place. ;)

I didn't tell Rob that he "sucked". Those are your words. Mine weren't even close to that. He claimed he was going to win a pro event and I doubted it. That's all. I play with kids like him all the time. It wasn't him who got all up in arms about it either, it was Cook. Rob said I will eat my words when I see it happen which I can respect. Cook wanted to give him a kid sports participation trophy I guess. But that was ten minutes at least before my "time out". That stuff wasn't even on the chat scroll anymore. So I figured whatever happened back then was unrelated. Ten minutes is a lifetime in live chat. If that's what it was all about then it sure took some time. Slowest hammer I've ever seen. The only thing worse than someone like me writing things you don't like is you hiding behind the hammer to deal with it. Like I said my baby had a shitty diaper anyway and it smelled better than the pool I was watching.:smile:

I am not hiding behind anything and I could care less what you type or say. What I do have a problem with is you were being an ass and then want to blame TAR and try and punish them buy supposedly not buying a PPV. Stick to changing shitty diapers because you were acting like a total ass and talking crap.

Good move destroy your liver instead of watch great pool and supporting TAR. Most people who enjoy 15 year old scotch have enough money to do both!
