T-girl,
If you are planning on assassinating a president or marrying Michael Jackson; please send me an autograph first. Many thanks.

Mark me up for $20 and let me know who I need to send/give it to... I'll probably just fork it over when I get there if that's ok.
UGH! Read the whole thread already!! This has already been covered. NO, paying there is not an option. I'll forward the PM that WBM sent me....it has all the payment info you'll need.

Total = $1165 so far

I don't know what the current numbers are.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't that list only AZB members? Are the 1p.org folks donating also? Just curious...

Let me know about the banner, I had my artist messing around with an idea or two today. Timberly had a good idea that I am going to implement into the banner.
Todd
Too cool! I can't wait to see it!! :)

Freddy, I'm only going to be there a day & a half
& will probably only make a token appearance.
I'll be with non-AZB friends & would just like
to make the acquaintance of some of you guys.
I've met Wally from Cincy and Old Has Been &
had Willebetmore pointed out to me. Would
like to say i've met a few others.
If I'm not in the room, please be sure to stop by the IP booth and say hello. :)

Yeah, I'm not sure what the number may be by now, between the two. I guess Williebetmore will give us a number after the dough has been collected. By the way, WBM you should be getting my check tomorrow.

T-girl,
Well, I'll take that as an affirmative on the Jackson engagement (beats the alternative......I think). I know you two will be very happy.

Just an open message to those who are contributing. As of now we have about $1300 pledged, none collected. There are 3 onepocket.org contributors so far (not counting myself and OHB).

There will be NO money collecting at the tournament. For those who haven't been, it will be a pool-fest, and none of us want to scurry around with change machine and accounting pad in hand - there's too much action to waste time on bookkeeping. In addition, the money for this will be disbursed up front - before the tournament even starts. Does anyone in their right mind want to wander around for 9 days trying to collect money from pool players????????????????????????????

I realize that there is only a short time til DCC, and that holidays are busy for everyone; but if you want to play, its time to take care of this. If there isn't enough money collected before DCC, then there is no private room (and I will return all contributions). While that may be no great loss - I for one am REALLY looking forward to it.

Just to sweeten the pot, we are working on some DYNAMITE appearances by a couple of very high profile professionals.

The question comes up about non-donating AZB'ers. I know there are some on tight budgets, some who don't want to play but would like to socialize. They won't be on the key check-out/playing privilege list; but shouldn't they be encouraged to come by and socialize anyway?????

ABSOLUTELY they should be allowed to socialize...the more the merrier. It's always fun putting faces to the names. This room should be for ALL AZB'ers to enjoy. Due to the amount of people and there being one table, I think the playing should be limited to those that paid & any other special "priviledges". (key to enter at any time). Under no circumstances do I think anyone should be turned away from the door. There's some of us on here that don't like each other but the majority like each other...I'm usually the broke one... I can appreciate not having an extra $20...or even an extra $5. It sucks & life is rough enough when you're stuggling. The last thing someone needs is to be turned away from a gathering of people they talk to weekly about a sport that we all love. JMO

Big thanks to you for the legwork in this deal. I am probably not alone in saying this but "the check is in the mail". Well actually it's a money order and it's sitting on my desk at work waiting on an envelope but I will send it tomorrow so technically.....

T-girl,
Well said. I totally agree.

The Grady Mathews one-pocket seminar is certainly open to all regardless of whether they donate. I think it will occur between Wednesday and Saturday. See the room bulletin board for details as they become available.

Willie, Can you post or PM me your mailing address? I'd like to send you a double sawbuck toward the AZB/1-p.org room. Just a thought but also accepting contibutions via Paypal might help. Thanks for doing the collecting.

Martin

It's all about the meet & greet after all ......aint it ????

We are kind of flying by the seat of our pants and just doing what makes sense to us. I'm sure we will make some mistakes but we will learn and go on.
I do value your opinion though and all others.
Thanks, Tom

I think you should operate by the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple,Stupid) method..... Remember, Too many cooks spoil the stew ,as in, The more "outside"
people (as in sponsors and such) The more control you lose ! I like the idea of two types of raffling ,I am a member of AMVET's Post 1985 and managed the post in the beginning and raffled off more stuff than I care to admit :)

If the main idea is to generate funds for years to come @ DCC You most definitely must raffle to the masses , I have raffled off many cue sticks and cases for our local TD who is also into cue sales and repair and I know that if you get the "right" people to do the raffling it is possible to generate a small
fortune or at least enough to cover expenses for a couple of years let alone next year.

Since this jamboree is MAINLY for members only I would definitely have a few members only raffles, These will be touted here on AZB & 1p.org as everyone having a great time which really is what it's all about, putting a face to the names and the meet and greets IMHO /COLOR]

Wish you guys all the best and hope you all have a blast ...I wish I could make it but my hotel and travel funds are kaput , maybe Santa will my account up again LOL !!

Ratchet - Raffler Extraordinaire - but nothings sells quite like a nice set of
hooters and a smile....LOL

I would be willing to do a short clinic on…

“How to get a perfect rack score (-1) in the Q-Skills challenge.”

Or

“How to run -1 balls”

I will only be there for a day or so---Will you have a schedule of exibitions to help decide when to come up. I would really like to see a One pocket clinic.

I vote beer yes, smoke no,
no cash---don't go.
