Shipped it all.
Come on Raj!
I shipped it all on Shane...not a great move, but I felt like it for missing
the b-side final.
Good luck, Dan

OK, gang. After getting home from the tourney, I had to take care of some family stuff that kept me busy.
I took the set of balls that go to the 1st place winner to Roger Long today to have them sprayed with a sealant so that the signatures don't rub off any more. He is going to run a test on another ball signed with a sharpie to make sure that there is no problem with the sealant.
2nd - 5th place prizes are...
2nd - Turning Stone XVIII Poster signed by Shane, Johnny, Ralf and Jennifer plus a one year subscription to Billiards Digest
3rd - Turning Stone XVIII Poster signed by Shane, Johnny, Ralf and Jennifer
4th - Turning Stone XVIII Poster signed by Shane, Johnny, Ralf and Jennifer
5th - One year subscription to Billiards Digest.
I will be sending PMs to all of the winners to get their mailing info.
Now for some questions and opinions on the game.
We "seeded" each match with 1000 points if there were no bets on a particular player. Enough? Too much? Would it make sense to seed every match with 1000 points on each player right off the bat?
I had some emails from users who said that they had bet on the wrong player and thought there should be some way to cancel a bet after it was placed. My concern is that a number of users canceling bets could really change odds in a way that shouldn't really be fair. How about if we just made the bet process a two step process where folks had to click a "do you really want to bet x points on player1?" sort of thing?
Any other thoughts on the game? I thought it was a success. We had over 4300 bets and just over 500 users who signed in at least once.
I definitely want to do it again soon. Would like to just make it a regular part of our real time scoring.
