OK gang, been working on this making small tweaks until about 30 minutes ago and I think it is ready to go live. Since we are 30 minutes from the start of the event, all I can do is give you the intro text and a link. Please let me know if you experience problems...

Welcome to the AzBilliards Action Challenge.

This is an online contest where users can wager "points" on matches during a live tournament for the chance to win prizes.

The betting window for a match will open as soon as both players are known, and the window will close as soon as the score changes to 1-0. Please note that some matches later in the tournament will only have an open window for a short period of time as they will start very soon after both players are known.

This is parimutuel betting. The odds that you see are only to give you an idea who is being bet on. The final odds will be determined when the betting window closes and will be based on how many points were wagered on each player. Bet the favorite and you are risking points on a very low return. Bet the underdog and you can win much more.

The amount of points you can wager is limited and the limits will increase each day. (Note that the limits will officially change at the end of each night's matches)

Looks like we are having problems with a couple matches. I will get them fixed tonight.

OK, I believe the problems have all been resolved now and all bets should have been settled the right way.

Agreed. I bet 10k on one guy at 9:1 odds, and then 10 seconds later I'm getting 0.25 to 1 on it. A 3600% swing. Not cool.

I do like the concept though. Adds interest to matches I'd otherwise ignore. :thumbup:
 
Round 2 Live Dogs

Tired of betting on all the big favs???

Here's a few +money players (underdogs) that are very capable of winning today... Makes for a good sweat pulling for the dog....:thumbup:

Shaun Wilkie: (1 pays 2.04)

Zion Zvi: (1 pays 1.4)

Ernesto Dominguez: (1 pays 1.22)

Jeremy Sossei: (1 pays 6.5)

Oscar Dominguez: (1 pays 1.26)

Earl Strickland: (1 pays 1.06)

Brittany Bryant: (1 pays 2)

Jesse Engel: (1 pays 1.24)



Any other strong underdogs to add would be greatly appreciated.... I'm sure there's quite a few lesser known players that can pull off an upset....



Btw, tyvm AZ for setting up this sweat-a-thon for those of us home with our families... Most of the lines look very well done so far... :thumbup:
