The best one-handed jack-up players

i remember miami playing some guy 9 ball i think 50 a game which was a bigger bet for miami around 1968 or 9. fairly close game but he was losing pretty good.
so he quit and said ill only play if you give me the 8 and ill play one handed. can you believe that. well he got all his money back.

This guy has had more identities than any pool player I know. He was "Pots and Pans" in the Johnston City days, "Bunny the Bell Hop" in Miami in the 70's, and is now starring as Charlie Chaplin at various pool events. He can still play too, winning the Super Seniors at the BCA a few years back.

He has a great string of "one liners" if you ever run into him.
I knew Bernard for a long time from the early Sixties at Johnny Morris's ( he was from Pittsburgh & was travelling with Toledo Joe Thomas, A friend of mine as well as a pool mentor) at the Original Hot Dog in Toledo,Ohio to 2008 in Las Vegas,Nv at The Dealer's choice Bar on Spring Mt Rd. Some people called him The Gov.He always liked talking to me about Toledo Joe & he always told me that I was a "good egg". I loved the black jacket that he wore a lot that said on the back of it "I need the 8, scouts honor" ! He very may well have been the best two dollar eight ball hustler, Ever !!
