;) What is the best production cue you ever owned? The best I have had is a Joss, not a Joss West.

In my early days, (mid 60's) i would have to say 1 of my old original willie hoppe's. (still have 3 of them) then maybe my older palmers from the early 70's. in the mid 80's to late to early 90's would have to be a meucci. but now i shoot mainly with a 17 year old biaggio sneaky pete for playing 3 cushion billiards and i have a russ esperitu to play either 9 ball or 14.1 with..............................mike

I still kick myself for selling my old SL1. It was plain gray maple with the ivory dashes. Great production cue.

McDermott C-6, it had the classic look of a standard pointed cue with veneers. I was a McDermott dealer and I sold a ton of those cues. The whole C series were nice. Then they stopped making them for some reason and began building cues that looked like they came out of a clown factory. The C series were great looking great playing cues, I want to say for the money but they in fact were comparable to other cues regardless of price.

Best production cue i have owned was a Schon, had a LTD 423, payed 700$ back in Feb 2000, for it and didnt have a clue what i was buying lol, just a newbie with some money to burn. I still kick myself for getting rid of it.

But the nice thing about Schons, is the bare bones models play just like the 2000$ ones.

Right now i have a Espiritu 2004, that i bought back in April for 430$ and i like the way it plays and probably wont ever buy another cue.

My first Nova I bought some 3 years ago, 4 points ebony in Maple with some ivory diamonds and some rings, still have it and will surely never sell it

Custom ordered McDermott D-21, 60"(30/30), steel joint. Very nice cue, but wasn't quite stiff enough. Went to a late 80's Gold Letter Joss plain birdseye, no inlays, that hit a ton. I'd love to have that one back.

uh yes, somewhat forgot about the old joss cues, extremely good "production" cues, until last year had this one 60inch (30/30) probably very rare but had to sell.....

The best production cue I have ever shot with is the stinger (not to be confused with the jericho stinger), but before that I had that I used a BCE cue which to me was nothing more than a mixture of a glorified snooker cue shaft and a pool cue butt with a screw on tip, and I thank god that I got rid of it when I did as it was useless at generating the right type of spin on a shot.

Easy call for me--Schon. I've always loved the balance on the Schon cues I've played with, and I like the smaller butt diameter. (I've had three of 'em.)

Me too. Without a doubt, the best production cues I've owned are Jerry Pechauer's.

For playing, it has to be the Bear cue (not Mark Bear) I owned. Bought it in 1996 and played for 5 years with it. Had to part with it because needed money to go abroad for a while. The cue hit very nicely and made a nice sound, too bad after 5 years of constant playing the shaft got more flexible and I didn't like it anymore so much. Would have loved to retire and keep it but...

For breaking it has to be my Falcon JB. Bought it in 1994 and still have it. It has served me very well, as a break cue and also a playing cue during my "adventures" in Europe. Those older Falcon JBs feel better than the newer ones, don't know why.

Dunno if you know, but Bear is the European brand of Falcon.

I like predator, there is a shallow feel to it..but its consistent. I also liked my friends huebler a lot. The prob with falcons, for me, was that they were not consistent. Some hit great, others hit like poop. I know, I owned one that hit like poop.
