Why not pull one of your other banned names out of hiding? Everybody knows your other banned names that have been retired. LOL! Just look at the list of banned members. Should I give a recap and enlighten the newbies on this forum who you really are, Tommy Boy?

Why are you attacking me now? I haven't said one word to you? In fact, I've gone out of my way to be nice to you in the recent months and anyone here can vouch for that. Am I not allowed to post in threads that you post in? WTF? Seriously, why are you attacking me in this thread?

You can continue to trash me on AzBilliards. You're not even good at it, poor fellow. There's crackpots much better than you who can write hurtful words, attack those who I care about, and depict me with vulgar words.

I already know that Tom-Tom will give me the skinny on you, and I can guarantee you that he would never say I am crazy, but that's because Tom-Tom knows me. Thank the good Lord, you never will.

I have no interest in attacking anyone you know, in fact I have great respect for you know who, but the same cannot be said for you.
I guess you can attack anyone you want, but the second someone says something you don't like the world comes to an end.
If you treat your friends this way by dragging their name into something that has nothing to do with them, then ......NEVERMIND

That time of the month perhaps? You know the time she decides to post.(anytime during the month, year, whatever) Is it any surprise this is happening?

They took a run at John Schmidt earlier today.

Danny H is in the soup if he cares to poke his head in.

What a wonderful group of knowitalls we have here at AZB.

NM...

I am glad John is back.

Just add the 'buy back' cost to the entry fee.

If not claimed right after your first loss, it is automatically donated to the "Cause".

If you do not care to pay the 'buy back' cost this is a 'single elimination' tournament for you.

Exactly! This between round buyback thing is precisely what is screwing it all up. It's not needed.

The first year of the bank ring game, Shannon had a big lead on Brian, and they raised the bet, Brian puts a 6 or 7 together and takes the lead.
This year, I believe Brian was way behind, and they were at $1000 a ball, and Brian puts a 5 or so together, to take the lead.
I don't believe it all boils down to just one turn, make it or lose. When it's decided to raise the bet to low man all-in, it's to the chip leaders advantage until the other guy jumps up and puts a 4, 5 or 6 ball package together.

Once again - The year it came down to Shannon and Danny, the winner was decided by one game and the final ball on the table.

I still have not gotten the explanation on why Accu-stats is dictating the time frame of the event, causing Grady to change the rules at the end of the ring game and possibly effect the overall winner of the event. I think I know the answer but am waiting to hear it.

Since the buy-backs seem to be one of the major sources of the delays and glitches, I don't understand why they just don't make the tournaments double elimination. That way everyone knows where everyone stands at all times.

I don't know how many players usually plan on playing only one round, and not buying back, but my guess is that there aren't that many. It would be much simpler to just charge $200 or $225 for a dbl elim, and let it play out. Surely most guys aren't going to balk at paying an extra $75, after having traveled all the way to the venue and paying the related expenses?

I'm probably missing something here. There must have been some reason why the DCC started the single elim/buy-back format to begin with. However, I'd rather see standard double eminiation events.

Doc

I have a cold today, so I stayed home and I checked the 2008 DCC results. Basically between 55% and 60% of everyone who entered bought a buy back in each three events. Nearly the same for three completely different events!

The snag happens when you have a whole field of players waiting on a handful of matches. Eliminate the between round buybacks and things go smoother and the tables stay fuller.

I give them a D- for the way the event was run. I have offered them my services. They're not interested nor will they help me in my endeavors in any way. So I am going to have to give serious consideration to disassociating myself from the DCC and Diamond Table Co.
Just wondering Grady, does this mean that when you "disassociate" yourself from Diamond, and "nor will they help me in my endeavors in any way"...you mean you're going to, A) return the Diamond tables in your pool room? B) pay them off, because Diamond financed them for you...and they've never helped you in "any way" or admit that Diamond HAS helped you, but not as much as you'd have liked!

Grady, speaking from experience, the one event a year that Diamond does stress over, as it's a MAJOR world event, it IS the DCC. It's so nice that someone can come in and offer their services, get disgruntled when not HIRED...and complain about it, but in all the years you've been in and around the "pool" world...YOU have failed to build a factory, design a great pool table, build a rep for those tables, and support this sport with the amount of money and time Diamond has...yet you WANT to eat the frosting on the cake!...hmmmm...OK, sounds good to me, where do I sign up for some of that cake as well?

Glen....just an outsider!

I just love it when the facts speak.

Glen...I think this post is bad form for you. It was not that long ago that you were the one lambasting Greg and Diamond, about your install business (on their behalf). Grady has done PLENTY of great things for pool over the decades he's been involved in the sport. Does he have a legitimate gripe now and then...sure. Does he occasionally get a little vocal (here), and say some things that don't support his best light?...sure...we ALL have (hint...look in the mirror...and this includes me). Almost everybody here tries to make their "contributions", as they are, anyway they can. I have no dog in this hunt, but I respect what Grady, Greg, and YOU, do for improving the odds of making pool more available, popular, and favorable to the masses.

Looking for a 7 foot Diamond Smart table or 7 foot pro-am at a good price. I don't know if there are any at Grady's place but I'd like first dibs on one if you guys are gonna pick them up. Thanks.
