I think the bottom line is Ray's streams are so much better than all the others that he should charge a small fee for all of us to view. 10-15 dollars per weekend. We as pool fans should support his streams by paying a small fee for them. It would always amaze me when TAR used to have free streams on thursday and friday viewers were over 1000 and on saturday ppv veiwers were under 100. Tall about not supporting the sport that we all love.

well said... for the room owner, Ray and Charlie it is their "job" and source of income. I also believe that all involved love the game and want to see the best for it.
Room owner - you said it best... streaming is more of a risk to his income than anything
Promoter, Charlie - is personally at risk for the up front promotional costs and is entitled to whatever additional income he can generate or in this case try to generate
Streamer, Ray - if the economics worked for him he would pay just like the major TV networks do to cover major events. If it becomes paid access, he needs to continue to build his advertisers and Big Truck viewers should patronize those that advertise with Ray
I love free live streaming... it is great for the pool fan. I contribute when I watch Ray because I want him to succeed & I still attend every event I can even if it is streamed.
Thanks to Ray for bringing high quality streaming to the web & thanks to Charlie & all the other tournament promoters since without them there would be nothing to stream.

From an owner perspective I'd ask the arm chair quarterbacks the pentultimate question:
- 3 businesses are involved and each makes decisions primarily based on 2 things: revenues and expenses. Do you even remotely know how to compile their line items to project profit/loss? I don't, and I've done a ton of Pro Formas. But not in these industries - so I am not qualified to judge, much less crucify, like some have here.
I think DP especially makes an easy target and gets people jumping all too fast. I'm glad DP and BigTruck posted (and did so quite professionally), else this train mighta been chew chewin outta control for some time.

Oldzilla's posts to me have been pleasant. I cannot say the same about the other gentleman. He seems upset sometimes. I'm not sure why he singled me out on this thread. I have tried to be civil to him on this forum, so much so that I at one time actually gave him greenies that I now regret.

Trig, Idk what you got agaist me. All I think I have done around here lately is defend myself from the slurs that come from Mlalum. It is not only here but in the chatrooms where he is so out of line he forces someone to ban him. Yes, sometimes me. Soon after the first time I banned him he was very quick to say I have banned him many times. Beleive me when I say you haven't seen all the bad things he has said to me in those chatrooms. I know he helped with HOH"s needs lately and I have seen a good side to him once in a while. But he won't let up on me. It is obvious to others in here and there too. It's hard to bite my tongue for ever. I have tried to let things go for a long time with him. He is the only one that I have a problem with.
I do not believe I have offened you and I wouldn't want to in any way. If I have I am sorry without knowing why or when.
that always amazed me also. Everyone complains about there being no money in pool(players and spectators) but when some is asked to pay $10, or $15 everyone gets real tight. If some of these streamers could count on getting a few hundred paying views for major events I think you would see some changes in the industry.
